Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Gibbons.
Hi Tyler, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my company when I was 18 years old, driven by a passion for building and a commitment to doing things the right way. From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to run a business built on honesty, fairness, and solid craftsmanship values that still guide me every single day.
I’ve always believed that if you’re going to do something, you should do it with integrity. That means showing up, doing what you say you’re going to do, and never cutting corners. As a general contractor, I’m not someone who just manages from a distance. I’m hands on, working alongside my crew on site. I think that’s important. It keeps the quality high and the accountability real.
Getting to where I am now has been a mix of hustle, learning from mistakes, and surrounding myself with the right people. I’m proud of the work we do and the relationships we’ve built along the way. It’s more than just construction, it’s about building trust.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s part of what makes the journey meaningful. When I first started out, one of the biggest challenges was building a network of dependable people in the construction industry. That doesn’t happen overnight. It took time to find the right subcontractors, suppliers, and crew members who shared my values and work ethic. There were a lot of lessons learned the hard way, from delays and miscommunications to realizing not everyone operates with the same level of integrity.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Of course. Here’s the revised version with all dashes removed:
—
I run a general contracting company that takes on a wide range of projects, from ground up construction and full home remodels to ADUs, additions, and everything in between. I’ve built my reputation on being hands on, reliable, and committed to delivering high quality work no matter the size of the job. Whether it’s a small repair or a full rebuild, I give every project my full attention.
I’m an LA native, so helping families who have lost their homes in wildfires hits especially close to home. I’ve made it a priority to support these communities by guiding clients through the complex insurance process and working directly with adjusters to ensure they receive the support they deserve. Rebuilding after that kind of devastation is overwhelming, and I’m honored to be someone they can trust to walk them through it.
What really sets me apart is my on site involvement. I’m not sitting behind a desk. I’m in the trenches with my crew, problem solving on the spot, and ensuring the finished work is something I’d be proud to have in my own home. I love what I do and I think that enthusiasm and that personal investment shows in both the craftsmanship and the relationships we build.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Of course. Here’s the revised version without any dashes:
—
I’ve been really fortunate to have a lot of support along the way, and I truly believe I wouldn’t be where I am without the people around me. First and foremost, I’m incredibly grateful for the clients who’ve trusted me with their homes and then gone on to refer me to their friends and family. Word of mouth has been such a powerful part of growing this business, and I never take that kind of trust for granted.
I also owe a lot to my team. These are the guys who show up every day, work hard, and take pride in what they do. We’re a tight knit crew, and their dedication, craftsmanship, and work ethic are a huge part of our success.
And honestly, I have to thank my younger self for jumping into the trade early. I started working construction jobs as a teenager, and those early experiences taught me so much, not just about tools and building, but about responsibility, grit, and what it means to put in a full day’s work. That foundation shaped the way I approach every job today.
