Life & Work with Tracy Slepcevic of Newport Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Slepcevic.

Hi Tracy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with my son, Noah, who was diagnosed with autism at a young age. At the time, there were very few resources and limited guidance for families like ours. I refused to accept the idea that there was nothing more we could do. I immersed myself in research, connected with leading doctors and scientists, and implemented biomedical and integrative health protocols to address the root causes of his symptoms. Through this dedicated work, Noah made remarkable progress, and that experience ignited my passion to help other families find real answers.

To deepen my knowledge, I earned my BA in Complementary and Alternative Medicine and became a certified Integrative Health Practitioner. I also authored the bestselling book Warrior Mom: A Mother’s Journey in Healing Her Son with Autism, which has inspired and empowered families around the world to explore holistic approaches to care.

In 2024, I founded Autism Health Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and launched the first Autism Health Summit, an annual event designed to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and the autism community. What started as a personal mission to heal my son has grown into a national movement—bringing together researchers, medical professionals, advocates, and families to advance meaningful solutions and improve quality of life for individuals with autism.

Today, Noah is truly thriving. At 20 years old, he works full-time, drives, and enjoys traveling the world. He has a passion for theatre and is surrounded by a wonderful group of friends. While there is no “cure” for autism, Noah leads a fully functional, independent life without limitations, and I couldn’t be more proud of the incredible young man he has become.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not—it’s been anything but a smooth road. Like many parents navigating autism, we faced enormous challenges along the way—emotionally, financially, and socially. In the early years, we struggled to afford the treatments Noah needed. I became a master negotiator, bartering and finding creative ways to make therapies and biomedical interventions possible. Every dollar was stretched, every resource turned over twice, because I refused to let finances be the reason my son didn’t have a chance to life a fully functional life.

There were moments that shook me to my core—like the time the daycare lost my child and never even called me. The whispers on the playground, the stares, and the judgment from other parents were constant reminders that we lived in a world that didn’t fully understand or accept children like Noah. He endured bullying, teasing, and isolation simply for being different. As a mother, those were some of the hardest moments to witness.

I fought tirelessly with schools to get him the support he deserved, often pushing back against systems that felt more interested in compliance than compassion. Along the way, I also encountered widespread indoctrination that, in my view, permanently changed my son’s trajectory. I was often labeled “crazy” or a “conspiracy theorist” for questioning the mainstream narrative and seeking answers outside the conventional medical system. But I refused to be silenced.

Through it all, I have always counted my blessings. Every challenge strengthened my resolve. Every setback taught me resilience. And every small victory with Noah reminded me why I was on this path. Those struggles shaped who I am today and fueled my mission to ensure other families don’t have to walk this road alone.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I definitely wear many hats. I’m the Founder and President of Autism Health Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research and improving the quality of life for individuals with autism and related neurological conditions. Through Autism Health, we fund groundbreaking scientific research, provide parent education and resources, and build bridges between families, medical professionals, and researchers.

I’m also the founder of the Autism Health Summit, which launched in 2024. This annual event brings together world-class doctors, scientists, advocates, and families to share cutting-edge knowledge and actionable strategies. The Summit has quickly become a hub for collaboration and innovation in the autism space.

In addition, I’m the bestselling author of Warrior Mom: A Mother’s Journey in Healing Her Son with Autism, a certified Integrative Health Practitioner, a speaker, and a health advocate. I work directly with families to help them navigate biomedical and holistic approaches to care, drawing from both personal experience and formal education.

What sets me apart is the combination of lived experience, professional training, and an unwavering commitment to truth. I’ve walked this road as a mother, fought systems as an advocate, and built platforms as a leader. I’m most proud of turning personal adversity into a movement that empowers families, drives research forward, and creates real, tangible change in the autism community.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing families find hope and witnessing individuals with autism thrive beyond what they were ever told was possible. Watching a parent’s face light up when they see real progress in their child—that’s everything to me.

On a personal level, seeing Noah live a full, independent life fills my heart with joy. Every milestone he reaches is a reminder of how far we’ve come. I also find deep happiness in building community—bringing people together through Autism Health Inc. and the Autism Health Summit, and watching those connections create real change.

My husband is also a fierce advocate and lives a life of purpose, and together we’ve dedicated our lives to serving others. Sharing this mission as a family, supporting one another, and standing side by side through every challenge and victory brings me profound joy.

Ultimately, my happiness comes from knowing that the work we do is meaningful, that it’s touching lives, and that we’re living out our purpose as a family.
