Life & Work with Tania Madril of Beaumont, CA (Riverside)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tania Madril.

Hi Tania, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My entrepreneurial spirit started back in high school — I was that kid selling candy between classes. That little hustle sparked something in me. Soon after, I got into couponing; I’d take my mom, sister, and friends to the store and teach them how to stack deals and save money. Around that time, I also started sewing and opened an Etsy shop to sell my creations — I didn’t sell a single thing, but it was my first taste of e-commerce.

Fast forward to 2017 — I saw a video about someone making money selling Ross products on Amazon and thought, “I can do that!” I opened an account and went sourcing with big dreams… and no money. As a single mom living paycheck to paycheck, I couldn’t afford to buy inventory, so I put it on pause.

In 2018, my now-husband and I were both working 9-to-5s, tired of the grind, so we started flipping items from Ross on eBay. By 2019, we revisited Amazon and realized the account I opened years before was still active — and I’d unknowingly been paying for it all that time! That became our starting point. We dove in, learned everything we could, and never looked back.

I officially quit my job in 2021, and today my husband and I are full-time resellers. We sell across Amazon, Walmart, and eBay — we’ve grown into six-figure sellers, bought a home here in California, and most importantly, we get to spend time with our kids while running our business.

Now, through my brand @MadrilFinds, I share my journey online — showing others that the American dream is still alive with hard work and consistency. I also founded Flip Finders, a community that helps new and experienced sellers find profitable products, get support, and stay motivated.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not! I’ve made plenty of mistakes along the way — and honestly, that’s part of the journey. When I first started, I had no idea what I was doing. I listed things wrong, bought products that didn’t sell, underpriced items, and even lost money on shipments. I’ve had Amazon deactivate listings, accounts go under review, and boxes get lost in transit — you name it, it’s happened.

In the beginning, capital was also a huge struggle. I started with almost nothing, so every dollar mattered. Learning the ins and outs of Amazon — ungating, product research, compliance, shipping — all while being a mom and working full-time wasn’t easy either.

But every setback taught me something. I learned how to read data, analyze trends, build systems, and run my business smarter instead of harder. I also realized the importance of community — connecting with other sellers is what helped me grow faster and avoid repeating mistakes.

Now, when I share my journey through Madril Finds or in my Flip Finders community, I try to remind people that it’s not a get-rich-quick business. There will be challenges — but if you stay consistent and keep learning, it’s absolutely worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an online reseller and content creator — I buy products from retail stores like Walmart, Ross, Marshalls, and Target, and resell them online for a profit across Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, and eBay. My husband and I run our business full-time under Madril Finds, and together we’ve built a multi–six-figure reselling business that supports our family.

I specialize in retail arbitrage and online arbitrage, meaning I find profitable products in stores or online that are already in demand. I’m probably best known for showing the real side of selling on Amazon — from sourcing clearance deals to packing FBA shipments, teaching ungating, and sharing how to turn side hustles into real income.

What I’m most proud of is building something that allows me to provide for my family while being fully present with my kids. I can take them to school, attend every game and event, and still run a thriving business from my laptop.

What sets me apart is that I focus on real-life Amazon sellers — not the flashy “Lambo bros” or people showing off stacks of cash. I share real, practical tips and tricks that everyday sellers can actually apply. Through my community, Flip Finders, I’ve built a space for sellers to connect, learn, and grow together — without judgment or unrealistic expectations. It’s all about showing what’s truly possible with consistency and hard work.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that consistency beats everything. You don’t need to have it all figured out or start with a ton of money — you just have to start, stay consistent, and keep showing up even when it’s hard.

There were so many times early on when I felt lost — I made mistakes, bought the wrong inventory, or thought about giving up. But every single setback taught me something valuable. I realized that success in this business isn’t about luck or overnight wins — it’s about learning, adapting, and doing a little better each day.

I’ve also learned that comparison can kill your motivation. Everyone’s journey looks different, and that’s okay. When I stopped comparing myself to others and focused on my progress, things started to really take off.

At the end of the day, my biggest takeaway is that the American dream is still alive — but it takes patience, consistency, and belief in yourself to make it happen.
