Hi Summer, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started in my mom’s living room in Oct 2020 during the pandemic after going through one of the roughest break ups! Learning to do nails and nail designs kept me busy and i grew an organic business. I found out the next month after starting i was pregnant so naturally it was go time! I worked through my entire pregnancy and had my son. It was difficult to navigate, i was a single mom and had a pretty thriving business. It was a lot to juggle but when my son turned 1 i put myself through nail school so i could get licensed and move up in my career. I then got my first independent nail studio.. from there i moved to downtown which was not the best decision but stayed there a year and then that led me back to studio city. Way closer to home (north Hollywood) during the last 5 years I’ve been blessed with the most amazing clientele and have an array of celebrity clientele I’ve serviced! I’ve done trade shows and partnered with notable brands such as smart water and Coca Cola brands! I’m excited to continue building and look forward to the future

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Deff not, moving downtown was not a good business decision but i stayed committed for the term of my lease and pushed through when all i wanted to do was give up

I specialize in Gelx and structured manicures with a real focus in nail art. I love my clients and have formed really special relationships with them!

What makes you happy?
My business makes me happy. I love what i do and i feel like i get to make women feel good about themselves in a world that treats them otherwise
