Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Mangini.
Hi Stephen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in New York and got my start in a world that looked nothing like fashion or business—I was doing physical labor and factory work, just grinding day to day. But even then, I had this bigger vision in the back of my mind. I saved every dollar I could and eventually used it to launch my own clothing brand. That was the first real taste of creative freedom and entrepreneurship for me, and I was hooked.
After that, I took a leap and moved to Los Angeles to chase the dream more seriously. That move changed everything. I got immersed in the creative scene, met tons of like-minded people, and started realizing that I didn’t just want to build my own brand—I wanted to help others do the same.
That idea evolved into what’s now Limitless MFG—a full-service branding and merchandise agency that helps artists, creators, and brands bring their ideas to life through design, manufacturing, fulfillment, and e-commerce. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter work. Everything we do is driven by creativity and a desire to push boundaries.
One of the defining moments early on was when we got the opportunity to tour with a major artist, selling merch across 15 cities in 35 days. We had no roadmap, no real experience—but we figured it out. That led to even bigger opportunities, including a full European tour, and helped solidify Limitless as a serious player in the touring merch game.
What I’m most proud of is building this all from scratch—no college, no formal training, just drive, curiosity, and a willingness to take risks. I’m proof that you don’t need to have it all figured out to get started. You just need to start.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’d say it’s been a relatively smooth road, but definitely not without its challenges. I’ve been really fortunate to work with some incredible clients who believed in us early on and have stuck with us ever since. That kind of trust gave us the momentum we needed to grow quickly in the beginning.
But growing a business organically—with no formal education, no blueprint, and no prior experience—naturally came with its fair share of struggles. A lot of it has been learning by doing, figuring things out on the fly, and constantly adjusting.
One of the biggest learning curves has been building a team—understanding how to hire the right people, how to lead, how to delegate, and how to create a work environment that actually works. Every new stage of growth has brought new lessons, and while it hasn’t always been easy, it’s made the wins feel that much more rewarding.

Whether it’s a startup clothing line or a major artist dropping tour merch, we help clients create products that feel intentional, exciting, and true to their brand.
What sets us apart is our obsession with creativity and refusing to play it safe. A lot of this industry is dominated by people taking the easiest route possible—template designs, generic products, minimal effort. That’s never been our style. Every project we touch, we’re looking for ways to make it fun, fresh, and something people will actually care about.
The thing I’m most proud of is building all of this from the ground up—self-taught, no business degree, no formal education in this field—just a relentless drive to figure it out and make it work.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
If there’s one thing I always try to tell people starting out—it’s that I’m not some exception to the rule. I didn’t come from money, didn’t have insider connections, and didn’t know what I was doing at first. I just started. I learned by doing, messing up, adjusting, and staying consistent. And if I could do that, so can anyone else.
I don’t have regrets, because I truly believe everything happens for a reason and in its own timing. But if I could go back and give myself one piece of advice, it would be: be careful who you trust. In the early days, we were pretty green, and a few people definitely took advantage of that. Whether it was bad deals, false promises, or just people not having our best interests in mind—it was a tough but valuable lesson.
Trust your gut, stay curious, and don’t wait until everything feels perfect. Start before you’re ready, and figure it out along the way.
