Life & Work with Raamy Fares

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raamy Fares.

Hi Raamy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m 29 years old originally from Lebanon and Iran. I grew up 16 years in Senegal, West Africa, then moved to Paris for seven years. It’s been more than six years that I am now living in Los Angeles! Absolutely loving it.

I started being passionate with Heated fitness studios about three years ago, but I always loved working out, anything design-related and quality sound! I decided to build Heated Room: a new concept for infrared Heated fitness studio exercise delivering high-intensity workout sessions. And with a high-intensity workout, comes high-impact audio.

I worked in close collaboration with a small team of designers, Sixty Four North and Void Acoustics to realize my studio aspirations. Together, we were able to indulge our joint passion for design and audio excellence.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was definitely not easy to for me to open the Heated Room as it is my first business adventure in this new country.! Some of the main challenges were the construction and more precisely navigating through the permitting process during COVID-19 times. It was also hard to find the right instructors, however, for the first time in my life I felt really passionate working on this project and I’m still having a blast every day!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I would say what differentiates our studio is the amazing sound system from Void Acoustics we have. I always loved music, and thanks to this partnership, we are able to create a unique energy around the space and elevate our fitness practice.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’ve been blessed with luck since the beginning of this journey, being able to have such amazing role models in my life which are my parents. My dad has a great business spirit and taught me that with true dedication, anything is doable. I’m forever grateful for my mom and her incredible taste in art and design which gave me the right tools to envision this project.
