Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Lima.
Hi Patricia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It all started with my passion for Art. Since I’m little, I’ve always dreamed of performing around the world, and fortunately I did. I’m a dancer and Actress, have been to South Korea, Russia, Italy, Monaco, Croatia, Egypt, Dubai, etc… I’m from Brazil, my family is simple and couldn’t help me with my dreams. I worked really hard to make it possible.
My biggest dream was to perform with Beyonce, and in January 2023 I got the opportunity to share the stage with her, and another big achievement of mine was to work on my craft as an Actress in USA, and happily this is happening as well. I come from a place where none of this would be possible, but here I am. Hard work and dedication always pay off.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like I mentioned before my family is really poor, none of them could help me financially. I always felt like no one got my back, and this led me to feel very lonely and sad sometimes, but I’m the kind of person that never gives up. Even with all the obstacles I had in my life, I always believed in myself. When I was 13 years old I’ve asked my Dad to pay for my English course because one day I would travel to the US to study Art; he said he couldn’t help me, so if I wanted I would have to work and pay it myself, I did it, started working with 13years old in a cafeteria, and paid the course myself, 18 years later my dream come true.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
It’s been 14 years since I started performing. Everything started in Brazil, and the company I was part of focuses was in dancing and acting combined, it was magic. Throughout my career, I had the chance to learn and train in multiple types of dance, such as contemporary, ballet, salsa, couple lifting, hip hop, heels and etc… My biggest strength when performing is my charisma and ability to connect with people, I would say. I just love the feeling of freedom and being different versions of myself.
I’m proud of myself because I didn’t give up.
My strength is my superpower. It was never easy, but I made it happen, and I believe much more is yet to come.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
