Today we’d like to introduce you to Nazanin Karandish.
Hi Nazanin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My mission is to provide individualized treatments alongside highest quality of care that would best support individual’s mental health. As a clinician I try to have an open mind and open heart for understanding my clients. I believe therapy is collaborative work, and I enjoy helping my clients live life to their fullest potential.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I truly enjoy helping my clients on a daily basis to find and create ways to live fuller more satisfying lives. Some of the struggles are the stigma and misconceptions that exist around seeking mental health treatment.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed marriage and family therapist, currently practicing in California. I am also the founder and clinical director of PHC Thrive Minds. I have has 14 years of experience in the field of psychology. This includes doing research and helping people with mental health care. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This therapy helps treat many mental health issues. These include depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and bipolar or mood disorders. I also have a sub specialty in treating addiction and substance use. My focuse is on helping people improve their emotion regulation, increase self-awareness, and learn new coping skills. This helps them manage daily stress better. My main goal is to have an open heart and open mind for understanding my clients to provide the best quality of care.
How do you think about happiness?
Helping my clients live their life to the fullest potential possible makes me very satisfied internally. I believe each mind matters and everyone deserves to live a life that is enjoyable.
