Today we’d like to introduce you to Murtaza Ezzi.
Hi Murtaza, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi, my name is Murtaza. I started Wedding photography eight years ago. I was very fond of nature and people’s stories. During my wedding, it struck me how lucky I reside in LA, where I can combine nature and people through my love of wedding photography. I found my niche in a candid style with outdoorsy venues, and slowly, it just took off, and I have never looked back.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I don’t think running a business is a smooth road for anyone, and it has its challenges. It took me a while to build a portfolio and for people to take me seriously. However, my vision was very clear about what I wanted my photography company to be, so I stuck with it and created a brand around it.
I am happy that all the hard work is paying off and have a fully booked calendar year.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a multi-cultural wedding, candid wedding photographer. I specialize in events and portraits. My couple knows me for my friendly nature and how I make everyone at ease and capture their beautiful memories without making them feel awkward.
Since I come from a multicultural family, I connect well with different cultures and understand them. I am proud that I have done 130+ weddings so far and received 20+ recognization awards for my work.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Since cameras on getting phones are getting better each year, I suppose people will start valuing professional photographers more. It will be a crowded market, but if someone picks the right niche and work on it, I think people will admire their work.
