Life & Work with Kenneth Cartel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Cartel.

Hi Kenneth, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I really don’t know where to start because being a part of the new generation of multi-disciplinary artist each art form of life starts and ends so many time it’s all parallel when you reach your own personal level.

I’m going to make a long story short because it’s some many points and moments in my life that would need to make a book or have a video interview.

For people who may not know me I was born in Tallahassee, Florida. Raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and majority in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Around kindergarten, I started to make stories and poems. In the 3rd grade, I started to play saxophone. I was so curious and was in love with jazz (still am). My musical reference for that is Bob Marley and Sade. In middle school and high school (minus junior and senior years) I played the saxophone on the marching band. Oh, what a time to be alive. Real-life drum line in the south. During that time, I was 14, and learned how to make beats on the software called “Fl Studio”. Shout-out to my older brother Malik for applying pressure when it came to starting music. Around my junior, I transfer from the west side to the Southside of Charlotte at 16, and that’s when I really begin my next chapter as a music producer and also designing with all the creatives, I was hanging with a the time. We would all go make beats at each other’s house, mainly at the friend Myles (moneygoformiles) place. We all was like the down south odd future, asap mob, Flatbush zombies, G.O.O.D. Music, Taylor Gang, etc. The whole crew and I would go to concerts, pass out products we design, best CDs, and positive energy.

After High school, I started another chapter. I started taking classes on Audio Engineering and Home Decor/Interior Design. Plus, I was working at American Apparel. It was the best experience I need to be part of. I was exposed to so many perspective at the time from classes, retail, and my spiritual practices that I was able to grow and find myself.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all, but I was prepared for all of this even when I felt like I wasn’t. Some of my struggles was finding myself, who am I, where do I exist, being homeless, living in a car, living in Airbnb hostile, having apartment, losing apartments, living in a hotel, getting a brand new place, maintains a new place, new level, new devil, looking in the mirror realizing you’re a God by genetics, spread genuine love and happiness, living myself, having fun, being light, being dark, being myself, lost myself, evolving, lessons not loses, keep it moving, take time for yourself, protect your mind body and soul, your truth, there truth, the real truth, from law of attraction to law of assumption. The city of Los Angeles finding their way, stick to your plan and you’ll be just fine.

It’ll be cool if the reader go back and read this as a poem. Then you’ll get the energy I’m really saying.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Currently, I am the lead designer and founder of my company School of Mysteries, Artist/Musician, Music Producer, Product/Environment Designer, and Healer.

I’m known for my music being an elevated/evolved sound where I’m at and from. My company is known for being a holistic home decor company providing a new avenue in which people from all walks of life and coexist, build, grown, and love.

I’m proud of how I always step up the bar for myself and accomplished it. I love the whole creating my reality and manifesting my future process. I get so excited cause the possibilities are endless. I can do and create anything as we all should!

What set my apart from everyone else is that I focus on my true life purpose, all of over purpose is tailored just for us. Like a snowflake falling from the sky, being that each is one of kind.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me outside the matrix perspective Is being truly happy and in love with yourself that your world started to reflect your inner. Granted that there’s light and dark, but that’s we are here to be a master of your doom-main (that’s thinker). Now when we are in the matrix I feel as if success is define by the goal, you set your desire to. That can be simple as doing errands, walking outside, kicking ass in a meeting, or whatever it may be. To me that’s success, it’s something simple like everything once you learn it from a minimal/lower level you start building momentum or consistency. By then you can defeat anything. Looking at anything with no problem. It’s all in our heads at the end of the day that we are scientifically projecting.
