Life & Work with Gädes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gädes.

Hi Gädes, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started writing music when I was a kid, around the same time I told my mom I’d be a model so like 7 or 8 years old I didn’t know what I was doing but I knew I loved music, it was like an addiction. I couldn’t sleep without music playing and when I felt alone I would always turn to music. I had a pretty rough upbringing but I’m grateful for everything that helped make me into the person I am today.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
From the projects to the shelter, and sleeping on bus benches it definitely has not been a smooth road for me I also had terrible anxiety for a long time and my mental health was absolutely terrible. But I never gave up, ever. I always knew I would become something great because of it all. I’m always thinking of the next move so I guess that’s kind of helped me get through a lot.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Currently, I’m going full speed into the music world My single “Lover Girl” will be out May 3rd! And my EP X will be released later this year. I know I’m known for my modeling but really I’m an all-around entertainer and I hope others find a sense of freedom in the music

I’m excited to share my art with the world! I will be taking risks and being more experimental with pop, alternative, rock and R&b. I plan on doing things that haven’t been done before and or things that may be “risky” in this industry.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luckily I have been surrounded by some of the best people, which is not very easy to find these days. They are always encouraging me, keeping me sharp and giving me the best advice. I’m extremely grateful for them.
