Today we’d like to introduce you to Francisco Igasan.

Hi Francisco, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Wow! OK. To appreciate the present, we gotta to peak a little into the past. Landed in the states from the Philippines at age 10 with my entire family so that my parents could get a fair shot at a better life for us. Lost my mom 2 years later to cervical cancer. Dad struggled with the bottle, so from time to time he reminded me how strong he was.
At 12, I was on a fast track to becoming another statistic growing up in the unforgiving streets of Fresno, CA. Highschool didn’t stand a chance, dropped out in 10th grade.
On a fateful night out my brother, what started out as a routine melee ended tragically. I lost him. A watershed moment for me. Without fanfare I left town for Southern California to start Junior College. Nose to the grindstone, I got my registered nursing degree in 4 years, got married, and God gifted me a son a year later.
Worked in hospitals as a cardiovascular nurse for a little over 10 years. Went back to school for my undergrad in nursing science. Worked a few more years, this time concentrating on leadership and administration. A glutton for punishment, you guessed it, went back to school again. I earned a master’s degree in informatics (healthcare + computer sciences).
Covid came and kicked healthcare’s ass. I saw a lot of things I wish I can unsee. After the 2nd wave around 2021, I decided to leave the hospital setting and start my own business. Fast forward today, bruised but unbroken and with my wife’s (Cindy) unwavering support and commitment, together we opened Cael Revive Spa.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. I felt I was thoughtful and cautious, but to no avail. There’s are always obstacles, it’s a part of every process. The medical/legal and regulatory compliance was the most challenging for me. The key is to view challenges as learning opportunities.

Any big plans?
Open a second location and expand our mobile services. Increase the footprint of our branded lip filler injection technique, “Lip Syndicate” in the coming months.
