Life & Work with Fernando Bojórquez Cantú

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernando Bojórquez Cantú.

Hi Fernando, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve started my life as a filmmaker right after high school. During the begging of college, I found my passion for making art with film and since then, I have met amazing and relented people who helped me to push myself into what I am today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The pandemic was a huge obstacle for me, and it wasn’t easy to work in or find projects during the lockdown times. But I kept pushing and collaborated with people that now I can call my closest friends and created really good projects that I am proud of.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a cinematographer. In the world of filmmaking, the cinematographer is the one in charge of creating the visual style of the film. Anything thing related to cinematography to lightning are under my supervision in a project. I find myself to be adaptable to any situation and I can find a way to get the shot no matter the circumstances.

What’s next?
I’m planning to finish college, after that moving full time to Los Angeles where the industry is and continue in my journey to grow as a filmmaker.
