Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Passic.
Hi Erica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My Instagram journey started with a simple passion for home decor, showcasing my finds and styling tips. But little did I know, it would spark a whirlwind of collaborations! It all began with Old Time Pottery’s surprise ask to film a reel, followed by Party City’s invitation to create a creepy carnival setup. From there, my feed opened up to a world of creative partnerships – from spooky decor to delicious foodie collabs that have my followers drooling! I’ve had the pleasure of working with over 50 brands, and it’s been a wild ride, blending my loves of home, food, and spooky creativity. I’m thrilled to see where this creative path takes me next!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve been fortunate to have had a relatively smooth ride, but I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t acknowledge the challenges. One of the biggest hurdles has been asserting my value and worth in the industry, ensuring that brands recognize and respect my contributions. It’s a crucial lesson I’ve learned along the way: knowing your worth is key. You’re priceless, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m unapologetically myself, taking up space and shining bright without dimming my light for anyone. As a passionate advocate for mental health and community well-being, I’ve created numerous events that bring people together and foster connection. This experience has not only honed my skills in social work but also informed my approach to social media, where I prioritize compassion, empathy, and authenticity. By sharing my own journey and lessons learned, I aim to create a safe and supportive space for my followers, encouraging them to prioritize their own well-being and self-care. My brand is built on the principles of kindness, understanding, and empowerment – and I’m committed to spreading these values far and wide!
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Halloween has always held a special place in my heart, and it’s rooted in the freedom I felt as a kid. Growing up in a strict household, I was usually expected to conform, but Halloween was my chance to shine – to dress up, get creative with makeup and hair, and just be myself, unapologetically weird. I vividly remember the thrill of buying my first non-traditional costume, a genie outfit, at 9 years old. It was exhilarating to break free from the usual expectations and embrace my quirky side. And you know what? I’m still that weird girl, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
