Today we’d like to introduce you to E. Bugra Balci.
Hi E. Bugra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born in Turkey in 1986. My first goal was to be the greatest bass player in the history. Then later on it changed because the bass had limitations and began writing classical composition which is the universal music in 19. I played with famous singers, Grammy-winning musicians and more. Also, I started to write the first of its kind “The Virtuoso Pianist Books” and it’s the 140 one I’m writing today. More than 10,000 pages. My work (the life work) is making the best music possible. And I also see an upper limit in the music. What I do is simply bring the best from 1600 to today and the future.
I also became a sub-teacher at The Collective School of Music in New York in 2011. Went to a master’s program at Queens College in 2012. Received awards from NASA, IBM, InVision, AT&T, and Yamaha.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest problem is people don’t follow or understand maybe the value of what I have been doing. I have hope for the world, and there are also undiscovered artists; great artists in history who developed human beings with their great works. And the funny part all those information is coming from the universe and for the World, for the humans. It will open up new energies inside of them. They will feel more than what they have been feeling and experiencing.
And I didn’t have any teacher who really did teach me music. I studied what was needed. Yes, I got some great teachers but they mostly mentored me.
The finding my own voice and the technique were the hardest part. Because if you copy or model somebody it’s easy because there is a path, but if you open up a new path you might see the hell.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
You can see my newest solo piano concert: https://youtu.be/CxwGzjp1piI
You can see all the books on my website: The live recordings on SoundCloud and YouTube. www.ebugrabalci.com/books
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I believe we might be in a dark age and as happened before people will start making themselves better and start understanding the importance of great art once again.
