Today we’d like to introduce you to Craig Cartwright.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started performing in theater as a kid and kept building my craft through school and small productions. This year, I’ve thrown myself completely into the grind with short films, festival pieces, commercials, vertical dramas, and Off Broadway performances. I performed Off Broadway twice with a third show premiering at the New York Theatre Festival in January 2026. I’ve been the face of more than ten national brand campaigns, including the Beast Games Giveaway with MoneyLion and MrBeast, and I booked a feature that will shoot in Boston this November.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most actors, I’ve faced long stretches of auditions that didn’t go my way, financial uncertainty, and the pressure of balancing multiple projects at once. But my love for the craft, and the excitement of creating characters, is what keeps me going and makes the challenges feel worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an actor and storyteller who has built a career across short films, feature films, commercials, vertical dramas and live theatre. People tend to know me for stepping into intense and complex characters and for bringing a lot of energy and presence on set. This year I am especially proud of performing Off Broadway twice with a third show premiering at the New York Theatre Festival in January 2026, being the face of more than ten national brand campaigns including the recurring host for the Beast Games Giveaway with MoneyLion and MrBeast, and booking a feature that films in Boston this November. What sets me apart is that I do not just show up for a role. I throw myself into the world building and character work so each performance feels lived in and authentic.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
A good cigar (Liga Privada No. 9 – shoutout Drew Estate), a great tobacco candle, a nice musky cologne (Ranger Station – shoutout), Musso & Frank’s, The Roosevelt, UCB performances, and a 6-mile run. Honorable mention: black coffee. These things, for better or for worse, keep me going.
