Hi Conni, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I have been in the health and wellness world for over 25 years. My mission is to empower people into more movement and a more profound love for their magnificent bodies. As a former dancer, my career ended with the diagnosis of osteoarthritis, and with that, I thought all of my dreams ended. 

I realized my love of movement and my ability to see imbalances in the body make for a perfect system to reeducate the body, which has become the SEM method: Safety, Energize, and Mobilize. 

Today, I am a multi-published author, vitality expert, and international speaker. 

My latest book, “Listen”- Watch What You Say Your Body is Listening, is the roadmap to learning how to listen to your body, how it wants to move, how it wants to be valued, and how to flourish through self-care. I demonstrate how moving your body 30 minutes a day can change your feelings about your body and life. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all; 2020 shut the world down and with it, my physical studio. I started filming short videos that I sent to my clients and anyone who signed up, easy anywhere exercises that you could do at home. Plus, I began online Pilates mat classes four times a week. This became the groundwork for my app Absolutely Grounded. For the first time, I had the time to film classes and make content. I now have my daily doses of joy free on my app, and then you can become a member and access all of the classes, plus access my masterclass Listen; Watch What You Say Your Body Is Listening. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in working with older adults 50 plus in chronic pain. Chronic pain is a challenge for most people because the pain is constant and has stopped them from moving and being active in their lives. I start with small movements, mindset, and breathwork meditation. Allowing my clients to feel better, if only for a few minutes daily, is the beginning of success. Our mindset about pain sometimes keeps us from getting better. Moving into a better feeling of movement and joy can change how the body feels daily. 

What do you think about happiness?
I love what I do and am blessed to work with amazing clients daily. My SEM method is changing lives, and to see clients turn their lives around is why I do what I do. I love traveling with my husband and seeing my adult children grown and happy. Being out in my garden and moving my body daily keeps me joyful and thankful.
