Life & Work with Cloe Jazwinski of West Adams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cloe Jazwinski.

Cloe Jazwinski

Hi Cloe , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I emigrated from France after I got my Masters (Literature and Linguistics and English). Was hired as a high School teacher in private school (Harvard Westlake among others) but got fascinated by the movie business and became a Development Director for the studios (I read and critiqued over 4000 scripts). One day as I was working in an ad agency, I got drawn to the graphics Department and fell in love with Photoshop. I went back to school and got a degree in Graphic and Web Design. A few years later, I went back to school again for a degree in Video and Motion Graphics. Since then, I have been hitting the ground running and for the past 20 years, I’ve been living and breathing Design, Motion, and Art Direction, crafting killer visuals across every corner of social media and marketing. My game is full-spectrum: from digging into the data to conceptualizing mind-blowing campaigns, then bringing them to life with copy, motion, and design that just hits different. I’ve been lucky enough to dive headfirst into wildly diverse worlds – think Entertainment, Gaming, Hospitality, and even Environmental initiatives. The result? Hundreds of campaigns, literally thousands of digital and social assets, and motion reels that have defined brands. While I’ve been busy shaping world-class marketing creative for social and mobile, I’ve also been the go-to for logo design, presentations, print, posters, swag, trade show booths, and all things branding.

So, what am I bringing to the table? Ten years of high-octane Design and Art Direction forged at some of the industry’s heaviest hitters: Media Arts Lab, Deutsch, David & Goliath, RPA, Arsonal, Chiat, Midnight Oil, and BLT. Beyond agency life, I’ve powered up creative teams at disruptive companies like Scopely, DeNA, Tradesy, The Irvine Company, Service Titan, and AuditBoard.

My client roster? Apple, CBS, Hasbro, Fox, NBC, and Disney to Clinique, Kia, Cazadores, and Netflix. I’ve navigated everything from playful consumer brands to serious FinTech, consistently delivering designs that don’t just look good – they perform.

I’m not just here to make things pretty; I’m here to strategize, innovate, and execute visuals that cut through the noise and drive impact.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Had to leave the Film Business because of the Epsteins and Weinsteins of the world. Turns out that the ad agency world is just as sexist and cut throat. Then the Gaming world where there is 5% women and most of them are admin and receptionists. Had to fight a lot of biases and work 4x as hard as men. I was passed up for promotions and was told when hired “You’ll never get promoted”

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m passionate about design and visual arts. I’m known for my digital campaigns that took over the Internet. I also love motion graphics and animating concepts. My strength is to distill the core emotion of a brand onto the digital canvas. What makes me stand out if my versatility – I can do anything from grunge to classy, clean and minimalist to bold and colorful. I adjust to any industry from SaaS to beauty, Automotive to gaming, small company to Fortune 500. Most importantly, I leave my ego at the door. My goal is to make the company to be successful not for people to fawn over my work.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’m a huge risk taker. I’m fearless and nothing stops me. I visualize what I want and get it. I have been laid off many times, had bouts of unemployment and every time re-invented myself the hard way. There are no problems only solutions.
