Life & Work with Christopher Prinsloo of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Prinsloo

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been far from a smooth road however, I wouldn’t change any of it as it all made me the person I am today. I’d say the hardest part has been trying to establish myself in the industry during such a tumultuous time. There is a lot of change happening at the moment so I’m just trying to stay open minded through it all.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an actor. Acting is an interesting thing. I get to play make believe, doing something I did as a child and get paid for it. It’s ridiculous and I love it! I’ve worked on several projects including the Discovery & HBO MAX show “Expedition files”, the series “What Remains” and the incredible horror short “I Feel Pretty.”

In terms of what sets me apart, I’m not sure I’d say I’m set apart from other actors, but I do feel like all of our unique experiences in life mold us and allow us to perceive the world in a different way and therefore bring a character to life in different ways. My life growing up in Uganda definitely granted me the opportunity to experience life in a unique way and I feel like that definitely plays a part in my acting.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Oooo! I love how LA is a culmination of so many different cultures, it really is an incredibly international place and I love that about it. I feel like, in a way, that also fuels my least favorite thing about LA. I love the cultures and different people here however, I feel like as there are so many people and so much choice, it’s very hard to find true friends as it can feel like everyone is constantly in the “what’s next” mindset.
