Life & Work with Anna Luena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Luena. 

Hi Anna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Hey Voyage! Since the last time we spoke, I have been a busy woman! I had just released (or was getting ready to release) my project “Love in the Aries” on Halloween 2021. In less than one year, we have over 140,000 organic streams! While promoting “Love in the Aries” my producer Iammalachi and I have been hard at work curating my sophomore project. Since December we have been pushing ourselves to make our best work yet and couldn’t be happier to share it now. My new album “Child of the Universe” just dropped today, Oct 16th! My goal for this album was to stretch my vocals and experiment with the production and deliver my message of hope and positivity through a new sound. We like to call our genre Love Pop. This album is the first disc of four to be released in the near future. Our theme for the first disc is water and this is why we call it Child of the Universe: Oceanus. The cover was actually shot underwater by my brother! I made him train for weeks with me to get that shot. The album consists of 13 songs and a pretty epic intro (if I do say so myself). Collectively, the first letter of each song title spells out the words Bedazzlements which means to be impressed with someone’s beauty. To me this album is beautiful because of the intention behind its creation, to inspire, uplift, and spread love. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This past year has definitely had its share of difficulties. Before the pandemic, I was able to support myself solely from my music and creative endeavors, and during lockdown, I just focused on writing my first album. Nowadays the world has sped up and everything is becoming increasingly more expensive. At the end of 2021 I had to go back to work full time while running my social media platforms, creating content, selling my all-natural skin exfoliator Dab Mask, and writing my sophomore album “Child of the Universe”. Luckily though I am finally in a great position, and I am a full-time musician/business owner once again. I amaze myself every day by the power of positive thinking and intentional manifesting. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am known for my music, more specifically my voice and my sound ‘Love Pop’. When people hear my music, they are connected by the real-life scenarios I tell through my lyrics and the underlying message of each song speaks to the listener’s spirit in an uplifting way. My music makes people “move their bodies and raise the energy”. 

I am a singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer, also an Aries and a dog mom of 3. 

I am most proud that I truly found my reason for being in this current reality and that is to heal people through my music. Wherever I go I can’t help but to make places better and encourage those around me to pursue their passions relentlessly and let go of trauma in the process. My light is very bright, and I have found that it may be a lot for most to handle but the right people will rise to the challenge. 

What are your plans for the future?
I have many things I’m looking forward to, especially shows, but for now, all I can say is to make sure you go stream “Child of the Universe” by Anna Luena (at least once a day).
