Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Warren Aka Strawberry Fuzz. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Our band Strawberry Fuzz started off between producer/guitar Alex Arias and singer Colby Rodgers writing songs through 2020 in Alexes recording studio in Mar Vista. When the opportunity to play a house show in Venice Beach came along, they quickly assembled homies Kris Miller (guitar), Dash Dupuy (bass), and drummer Andy Warren to bring all the music they wrote to life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So far, it’s been surprisingly smooth! All the boys get along incredibly well. We’re brothers through all of this. The shows have grown in attendance with each one, and the music has quickly been catching on across the country! We just sold out the Troubadour as headliners in less than two years of being a band.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a band from Venice Beach, CA making punk-inspired surf garage rock. We like making songs that tell stories about all the degenerates and characters we witness throughout the west side of Los Angeles.
Any big plans?
We leave for a west coast tour on March 22nd. We play the Venice West on April 1st, so if you’re in LA come check it out. Also, our debut album Strongs Dr., named after a street in Venice where we hang a lot, is out now wherever you stream music.
