Life & Work with Aldrin Hartunian of Glendale, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aldrin Hartunian.

Hi Aldrin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In the mid-1990s, I developed a fascination with computers, even while pursuing a path in Sports Medicine and completing my pre-med requirements for medical school. Around that time, a neighbor in law school introduced me to the idea of building websites and showed me how to code in HTML. I was instantly captivated by the ability to create something from nothing, which sparked my passion for web development.

I first experimented with adult websites, but soon joined forces with my brother, who was running a pre-employment verification business. As technology advanced, I continued to teach myself and master multiple programming languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, ASP, and MySQL. This foundation allowed me to build not only websites but also custom web-driven applications that helped businesses operate more efficiently.

To strengthen my expertise, I earned certifications from Google and W3Schools in IT, Web Design, and Development. Today, I serve a wide range of clients, providing web design, web hosting, maintenance, SEO, and ongoing digital support. My journey began with curiosity and self-learning, and it has grown into a career where I help businesses succeed online.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Has it been a smooth road?

It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges early on was transitioning from adult websites, which generated a lot of income, into my brother’s pre-employment verification business. That venture was new, just starting to grow, and required me to move to the East Coast to establish another branch headquarters. It was a major shift, both financially and professionally.

On top of that, the learning curve was steep. Technology changes so quickly, and I had to constantly push myself to learn new coding languages, tools, and techniques just to keep up. Even today, I continue learning because this industry never stands still.

There have been plenty of pitfalls and hurdles along the way, but each one taught me something valuable. Every struggle has shaped the knowledge and skills I have now, and has also introduced me to an incredible variety of businesses and people. Looking back, I can honestly say the challenges were part of what made me stronger and better at what I do today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Today, I work as an IT professional and Web Designer/Developer, specializing in creating websites, web-driven applications, and digital solutions that help businesses run more efficiently. My services cover everything from web design and development to hosting, maintenance, and SEO. I’ve built a career not just on design, but on solving real problems for companies by tailoring technology to fit their unique needs.

What sets me apart is the breadth of my experience. Before fully diving into web design, I also gained valuable insight working in Internet Car Sales for luxury brands like Audi and Land Rover. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of how businesses operate, how customers interact with brands online, and how important a strong digital presence is in building trust and driving growth.

I’m most proud of the skills I’ve developed through hands-on, real-world work with a wide variety of industries and people. From my early days transitioning from adult websites into helping launch my brother’s pre-employment verification business, to building applications and websites for different sectors, every project has added to my toolbox. I’ve seen firsthand how technology can transform businesses, and I bring that perspective to every client I work with.

What truly sets me apart is my commitment to constant learning. Technology never stands still, and I’ve made it a point to stay ahead by mastering multiple coding languages, earning certifications from Google and W3Schools, and continuously adapting to new tools and techniques. My journey has been full of challenges, but each one has made me a more skilled and versatile developer.

At the end of the day, I’m proud that my passion for technology turned into a career where I get to help others succeed. The combination of my IT expertise, web development skills, and real-world business background allows me to deliver solutions that not only look good but actually work to grow and support businesses.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Since I work in IT and web design, most people assume I fit the stereotype of being a “tech nerd,” someone who prefers staying home behind a computer and isn’t very social. The truth is actually the opposite. I enjoy being around people, connecting, networking, and building relationships just as much as I enjoy building websites and applications. I’m not the kind of person who hides behind a screen—I thrive on interaction and bringing energy into what I do, both personally and professionally.
