Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Nika Agiashvili of Los Angeles

Nika Agiashvili shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Nika, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
Right now, I’m in post on Atlas King, the feature film starring UFC Hall of Famer and champion Michael Bisping and Cuba Gooding Jr., which also stars my brother George Finn, with whom I produced the film. Most days are spent in the edit bay, going over cuts, sound, and music, making sure everything feels right before we deliver to our distributors. Post is where all the pieces finally fall into place, and I’m lucky to be working with a really talented team that makes the process a little easier. I’m also developing new projects with our company, Punch It Films, and gearing up for the next one.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a filmmaker and producer based in Los Angeles. In 2025, I co-founded Punch It Films with John Edward Lee, my brother George Finn, and former UFC champion Michael Bisping. We’re focused on developing character-driven action thrillers for a global audience.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I learned how to tell a good story from my father, who was a filmmaker. He always knew the right book to recommend or the right film to suggest. He understood early on that I wanted to be a director and always encouraged it.

When did you last change your mind about something important?
I try to always evolve creatively. I used to believe momentum was everything, always pushing forward, but while working on Atlas King, I’ saw that sometimes slowing down, taking a step back, and looking at the bigger picture leads to stronger storytelling choices.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
I’m from Tbilisi, Georgia, where friendship and family mean everything. It’s a culture built on loyalty, generosity, and looking out for the people close to you. I try to carry those values into my work and the way I collaborate, treating the people I work with like family.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When have you had to bet the company?
Starting Punch It Films and making Atlas King was us betting on ourselves. It was the four of us, deciding to make a film outside the system, to take the risk and prove what we could do on our own terms.
