Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with David Violi of Studio City

We’re looking forward to introducing you to David Violi. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning David, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
Most days start early — before the noise of the world kicks in. I like to move first thing, whether it’s a short jump rope session, a walk, or lifting weights. That morning rhythm isn’t just physical; it sets the mental tone for everything else.

From there, I shift into Prime40 Rebuild work — creating content, writing, connecting with men who are trying to rebuild their health and confidence the same way I did. It’s a mix of coaching, learning, and sharing what actually works for men in their 40s and 50s.

The rest of my day usually balances business with recovery — good food, sunlight, reflection, and time with people who keep me grounded. I’m big on simplicity. Each day doesn’t need to be perfect, but it needs to move me forward. That’s really what Prime40 Rebuild is all about — progress, not perfection.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m David, founder of Prime40 Rebuild — a movement built for men who want to take back control of their health, energy, and confidence after 40. It started as a personal mission. I hit a point where I realized that getting older didn’t have to mean slowing down — it could mean leveling up, mentally and physically.

What makes Prime40 Rebuild different is that it’s not about perfection or chasing unrealistic fitness goals. It’s about rebuilding from where you are — balancing discipline, mindset, and simple daily habits that actually work for real life.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding the platform into a full lifestyle brand — combining fitness, nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset tools designed for longevity and performance. My goal is to help men prove to themselves that it’s never too late to rebuild the strongest version of who they are.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
There was a moment when I looked in the mirror and realized I wasn’t the same person I used to be — not just physically, but mentally. I had been running on autopilot for years, working hard but not really living with intention. That realization hit me harder than any workout ever could.

It changed everything. I started questioning how many men were quietly feeling the same way — successful on paper but disconnected from their strength, energy, and drive. That moment became the seed for Prime40 Rebuild. It reminded me that we don’t have to accept decline as inevitable — we can rebuild, one disciplined choice at a time.

It shaped how I see the world because now I look at every challenge as an invitation. Not something to escape, but something to rebuild through.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There was a stretch where everything felt off — physically, mentally, and professionally. I was running on fumes, trying to hold everything together, but deep down I was burned out and disconnected from who I was. I’d lost the drive that used to come so naturally.

It wasn’t one dramatic moment — it was the quiet kind of giving up, where you stop showing up fully for yourself. That’s actually what led to Prime40 Rebuild. I realized that no one’s coming to save you. You either rebuild from the inside out, or you stay stuck.

That experience taught me resilience in a different way — not as toughness, but as consistency. Showing up every day, even when it’s uncomfortable, became my way back. And that mindset is exactly what I try to pass on to every man who follows Prime40 Rebuild.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m fully committed to Prime40 Rebuild — not as a short-term brand, but as a lifelong mission. The belief behind it is simple: men over 40 still have massive potential left in the tank, but most just need a framework and mindset to tap into it.

This isn’t about chasing youth — it’s about redefining what strength and vitality look like as we age. I want Prime40 Rebuild to prove that discipline, health, and purpose can actually get stronger with time.

So whether it takes years or decades, my goal is to keep building a movement that helps men rebuild their bodies, their energy, and ultimately their confidence — one consistent day at a time.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What light inside you have you been dimming?
For a long time, I dimmed the part of me that wanted to lead — not in the loud, ego-driven way, but in the sense of guiding others through experience. I think many of us downplay our voice because we’re afraid it’ll come off the wrong way or that no one’s listening.

But as I got older, I realized that staying quiet helps no one. The lessons, the mistakes, the rebuild — they all mean something if they can help someone else find their footing again. That’s the light I’d dimmed: the drive to inspire, to teach, and to create impact through example.

Prime40 Rebuild became the space where I stopped hiding that part of myself. It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being real, showing up, and letting that light remind other men that they can still reignite theirs too.
