Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Brittany Antuna of Inland Empire

Brittany Antuna shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Brittany , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My dogs! They bring me so much joy, just the thought of them makes me am happy dogbabymama.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Well, My name is brittany, I’m a 37 Hispanic business owner in Southern California.
My brand HairdresstoImpress was accidentally created during the pandemic after my husband created a tshirt with me as a cartoon and it actually sold,
I ordered Koosies with the LOVE LOGO as we call it, for a party that never happened due to restrictions, and I posted them online and they sold immediately!
So the rest is still unwritten, as Natasha tells us.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful would have to be when I began playing softball at 7:
I played junior Olympic softball for 12 years,
My first all star game we won against complete strangers and from then on I became extremely competitive and trained with other girls 3 times my size and strength and I learned to keep up with them.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Honestly,
There have been MANY A TIME when I wanted to throw the towel in to my career, but when I elaborated I had to really ask myself “What comes after this” and I didn’t see a future in any other career to I pulled myself off the floor, stood back up, and walked that walk again until I could run:

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
In my industry,
Trends change so fast! Lightening speed.
But I always tell myself and my clients,
“A CLASSIC IS A CLASSIC.”
Once you nail a classic look, you kinda just let the Terrence come and go, and focus on your strengths

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tommorrow my clients would KILL ME!!
You know I’m an underpaid therapist…

I think they’ll miss trauma dumping on me, and having the best private investigator on the planet!!
