Inspiring Conversations with Zyaire Porter of Porterhouse LA LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zyaire Porter

Hi Zyaire, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey in photography started with two things : The birth of my daughter & Swaggatory.com

The birth of my daughter in 2008 was when I realized “I like taking photos more than anything else I’ve done”. She was the reason I picked up a camera and never put it down.

Swaggatory.com was a blog I started capturing and sharing music and Los Angeles culture from my perspective. The same camera I used to capture my daughter is the same camera I would go out to document events and concerts. One of the first events I captured was JBC Global Coolin’ event.

How I got to where I am today? Relationships.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No smooth road at all. Entrepreneurship is not easy.

One struggle was the PANDEMIC of 2020. The pause in work/business really weighed on me mentally.
Another struggle is choosing a team! Deciding who to hire and when, can make or break your business.

We’ve been impressed with Porterhouse LA LLC. , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Porterhouse LA is a professional photography company that specializes in quality and usable images for brands & entrepreneurs. We are proud to have worked with and provided images for brands such as Nike, Infinity Ward, Our Own Non Profit and many others.

We often have specials and discounts, and we also provide headshots, branding sessions, and wedding photography.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memories was the whole experience going up in LA.

First Church of God Christian School. Centinela Day Camp (RIP Leonard). Battlezones. World on Wheels. Skate Depot. Discovery Zone. MLK Parades. Wild Rivers. The Takeover.. The list goes on and on. Almost everything I grew up on is gone, so I guess I am “old” now
