Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Obispo

Wendy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a multimedia specialist with an emphasis on video editing. When it comes to digital media, I can do it all—photography, social media content, music videos, and more. Growing up, I always enjoyed creating and editing videos, but I was never exposed to creative careers. This meant I always saw any creative outlet as a hobby rather than something I could monetize. That changed when I took my first film class during my senior year of high school, where I discovered the many creative careers available. After high school, I decided to pursue a degree in Marketing Management. Early in my college years, I decided to create a video production business, which would then be named Obis Digital. It started with making free videos for businesses around Los Angeles, eventually leading to securing paid projects and building a diverse portfolio. In addition, I create social media videos aimed at inspiring, educating, and entertaining creatives. These include editing tutorials, behind-the-scenes content, and more. I have certainly come a long way, but I am nowhere near where I want to be.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business from nothing is definitely not an easy feat to accomplish. One of the biggest struggles I had to overcome (and still battle to this day) is self-doubt. At times, we can be our own worst enemies. I have had to learn to fight the fear of failure and push myself to reach the full potential that I know I have. Oftentimes, people have not taken me seriously, and I have had to prove myself repeatedly. Building Obis Digital from the ground up has required resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.

We’ve been impressed with Obis Digital, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

How do you define success?
I define success by the effort and determination I put into achieving my goals, regardless of the obstacles I may encounter. To me, success is not just about the end result but rather the journey and resilience needed to reach the end result.
