Hi Nicole, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Half a decade later….. We are still here 🙌🏾 Five years ago, @proverbscounselingservices opened its virtual doors.
On 3/15/2020, I got an email asking clinicians to see patients via telehealth because they were anticipating that during this “two week period of lockdown” there would be a lot of patients in need of mental health services. Well this “two week period” turned into an ENTIRE pandemic and this “I can see a few people for a couple of weeks” turned into an ENTIRE business. I had no idea where this company would or could go, but God; but God!
Over the last five years, a business that started with just me seeing 20-30 patients a week 🙃, has blossomed into 12 therapists, 2 administrative staff and 1 nurse practitioner providing psychological and psychiatric services to the states of Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas!!! In the last five years….we have seen over 1100 clients!
What a journey this has been! I’ve been in awe to just sit back and watch God work! I am grateful to my friends/colleagues/family who took a chance on me and my business and came and worked for me. I’m appreciative of my friends, family and clients who have sent referrals our way! None of this was on my vision board in January 2020 but I’m glad God saw fit to alter my course, put another calling on my life and gave me the tools I needed to help make this world a better place!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So many, business has its journey along with the clients but it had been a beautiful journey.
