Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Marchewka.

Hi Natasha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a Canadian living in California! I have a degree in Radio and Television Arts from The Creative School at the Toronto Metropolitan University. Working at a radio station in Toronto, I became familiar with the role of “voice talent” as part of the commercial production process. When I left the station to start a family, I jumped into voice-over at the same time – quickly accumulating weekly and monthly TV affiliate and corporate clients. Why not build a family and a business at the same time?! From Canada to the Cayman Islands to California, I’ve worked since 2006, learning how to work as a freelance voice talent and building a tremendous business. Thankfully, I landed a Green Card on 2/21/21, after hoping for it for 23 years! It made all the difference working out of the US, in Newhall, California, and beyond. I proudly live in L.A. County and work from home, serving clients all over the world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Aside from the hurdle of landing a Green Card, building a freelance voice-over business requires constant marketing to find not one job but multiple jobs per day. With consistent work networking and building a professional brand, I am proud to say I’ve tackled the many struggles a freelancer might face.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I pride myself on working non-stop for clients. I voice brand videos, corporate presentations, and commercials, and I strive to make myself readily available – recording from my pro home studio. Being flexible and having top-notch business acumen, along with having years of experience and a deep knowledge of the production process, I believe helps me stand out in an industry that is highly competitive. Being represented by a top-tier manager but also working tirelessly at building my own business, I’m very blessed to be working full-time as the voice of my clients’ business, marketing, and creative projects!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Taking initiative and ownership of every project assures my clients of the best possible result.
