Inspiring Conversations with Magen Sabo of Klicked Academy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Magen Sabo.

Hi Magen, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in high school with my own hair and eventually classmates began to ask where I was getting my hair done. Next thing you know I was doing bang trims in the locker room during gym and destroying my parents bathroom with hair color. My path of becoming a hairdresser was clear. I graduated high school early and went straight into school, doing friends hair at house parties and my apartment. I had a lot of friends in art school, so hair became a collaborative expression pretty much from the jump. As a was learning my craft, I found photography to be the best teacher. It lead me to seek out hair cutting education with Vidal Sassoon and eventually studied in London with one of the best haircutters in the world. I began winning international hair competitions as the only US representative and showcasing work in shows globally. I have written my own curriculums for state board certifications, salon trainings programs, and now launching my very own academy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been constant hard work. I think the biggest struggle is patience, ego, and practice.

We’ve been impressed with Klicked Academy, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Klicked Academy is independent continuing education for hair professionals. It is designed to support you and your career from the moment you graduate till the time you retire. I specialize in haircutting and color design, thoughtfully crafted for each unique person and career path. Education that clicks!

What are your plans for the future?
I am currently in the final phases of building Klicked Academy. Launching January 2026!!
