Today we’d like to introduce you to Juwan Rodriguez.
Hi Juwan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Raised in P.G. County, MD. Split time between my parents growing up. Started playing sports around the age of 11 and continued to do so into college. During my sophomore year, I made the decision to start rapping. From that day forward, I began aligning myself with my true identity. My business, “ThaDonn” (A.K.A “ThaDonn Life”) was created and has now grown into so much more than I could have originally imagined.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been filled with trial and error. Sometimes you want things so bad that you are not aware of what you’re sacrificing to achieve what you desire. Managing relationships with family and friends has been difficult at times. Also, with so many outside forces attempting to influence, it’s been important for me to always find time to ground myself and remain as authentic as possible to my ethics, morals and values.
We’ve been impressed with ThaDonn Life, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
From the ground up, ThaDonn Life rose from roots infested with passion and dedication. In its inception, a family was molded by its values. We are a creative lifestyle brand where pieces are poetic. High quality in feel and touch is at the forefront of our business. We intend to change the world sonically, visually and creatively. We seek to empower individuals and communities to channel their creativity in a world of ownership through a wide range of resources, connections, and assets. We encourage people to discover their light or inner Donn.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I envision us becoming one of the largest creative outlet platforms in Maryland.
