Inspiring Conversations with Farren Moore of There’s Moore to Sex

Today we’d like to introduce you to Farren Moore.

Farren, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always been a people watcher and psychology buff. Over time my interests grew into sole focus. I studied people. A lot of people. I didn’t just read case studies, I developed them on my own. My love for how people’s experiences dictated they’re reactions and decision-making led to me becoming the go-to relationship consultant for friends, family and strangers from a pretty young age. I realized that cultivating safety for people to share and converse on all types of relationship dynamics deepened my knowledge and made me yearn for more. I am now a trauma-informed relationship coach. My specialty is sexual, intimate relationships, but I also consult with parents and adult children, as well as siblings.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been smooth… mentally. I dealt with a very long bout of imposter syndrome. I didn’t believe that information I’ve acquired through my personal interests could actually help or would be received by others outside my environment. I shied away from consulting in any official capacity, but this line of support just kept pulling at me. I started off by keeping it light and just sex focused, but very deep-rooted trauma and intimacy issues kept creeping into the conversations. Realizing that trauma and misunderstanding intimacy weaved through most if not all sexual issues, I finally decided to lean into my calling.

We’ve been impressed with There’s Moore to Sex, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the birdseye view for those struggling to “own their desires”. I provide the tools and permission to not only identify what you want in your relationships but to claim it. I use my personality to open you up and my expertise to guide and support. I’m most proud of opening the conversations about knowing your rights to “own your desires” without judgement, shame or trauma hindering you. I offer one-on-one intimacy coaching, couples counseling, private personalized programs to get you more in touch with you, so you can “touch” the person(s) you love.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I am a risk-taker. I quit my 9-5 to lean in to this calling. I started a talkshow on my youtube channel, I’m in conversations with sex toy manufacturers. I’ve been taking classes, reading, writing, consulting and I hired a business coach to grow this business. I have a lot riding on my belief and investment in me and I sense the payoff is just around the corner.
