Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Nathan Newman.

Hi Dr. Nathan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
More than two decades ago, I had a pivotal realization: stem cells—specifically those found in our fat—could do far more than we imagined when it came to healing and rejuvenating the skin. That discovery led me to develop the Stem Cell Lift®- a facelift without cutting. This innovative approach uses a patient’s own fat-derived regenerative stem cells to lift, tighten, renew and restore youthful proportions by naturally rejuvenating tissue and replenishing what is lost with time.
What began as a breakthrough in aesthetics quickly expanded. We began seeing real results not only in anti-aging, but also in patients who needed reconstruction of wounds and scars, joint and muscle repair, and even autoimmune-related skin conditions. That’s when I knew this work had the power to truly transform lives.
Today, I lead the Orchid Surgery Center in Beverly Hills, where we focus on advanced cosmetic surgery and regenerative medicine in a private, state-of-the-art setting. I’ve also created a line of plant stem cell-derived skincare products that bring those same regenerative principles to everyday routines—products that have now been global bestsellers for over 15 years.
My background includes training at USC, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, UCLA-VA, and Cook County Hospital. I’m board certified in dermatology, with a fellowship in cosmetic surgery, and I hold multiple biotechnology and medical device patents—including one for the regenerative Consortia Factors® factors used in our STEM Natural Intelligence® line.
This work is personal to me. Whether I’m helping a patient feel more confident in their appearance or supporting healing at a deeper level, my goal is always the same: to tap into the body’s own natural intelligence and help it do what it was designed to do—repair, renew, and thrive.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road—pioneering a new medical approach, especially one as intricate and unconventional as stem cell therapy, naturally comes with its share of challenges. In the early days, there was widespread skepticism from both the medical community and the public. Stem cells were often misunderstood or associated with controversy, so one of the biggest hurdles was educating people about the safety, science, and regenerative potential of using their own fat-derived stem cells. That conversation is still ongoing.
But the greatest challenge, by far, has been time. Real innovation doesn’t happen overnight. It requires years of research, trial, and refinement. Staying committed during those early years—when the road was unclear and the recognition was far from guaranteed—meant leaning deeply into the purpose behind the work. It required conviction, resilience, and a refusal to cut corners.
In hindsight, every challenge served a purpose. Those early obstacles tested the vision, but they also strengthened it. They helped lay the foundation for a practice that is now globally recognized—not just for its innovation, but for its integrity and results.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My career has always been driven by a deep desire to help people not only look their best, but truly feel their best—from the inside out. Early in my training, I was fascinated by the body’s natural ability to heal and regenerate. That curiosity led me down the path of stem cell research, long before it became a widely accepted concept in aesthetics or medicine.
What began as a scientific exploration eventually became a lifelong mission: to develop techniques and therapies that use the body’s own regenerative power to restore health, beauty, and function. That mission evolved into the Stem Cell Lift®—my innovative facelift that eliminates the need for cutting by using a patient’s own fat-derived stem cells to lift, tighten, and restore youthful proportions while also improving skin quality at a cellular level.
Over the years, this work has expanded beyond procedures. I’ve had the privilege of launching skincare and wellness products that reflect the same regenerative philosophy—helping people care for their skin and body in ways that are gentle, effective, and backed by real science.
Today, I lead a team at the Orchid Surgery Center in Beverly Hills, and my R&D Lab in Hawthorne, where we blend innovation with personalized care. I continue to lecture, conduct research, and stay involved in product development. My career hasn’t been about following trends—it’s been about staying rooted in science, listening to patients, and creating solutions that stand the test of time.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’ve always believed that staying curious is one of the keys to doing meaningful work. I regularly read medical journals to stay updated on advancements in regenerative medicine and related fields. Outside of medicine, I find inspiration in books that explore resilience, leadership, and human connection. One that has inspired me most is the timeless book “The Ethics of the Fathers”. In this book the sages share their wisdom and moral, psychological, and philosophical instruction for human perfection. As for daily tools, I keep things simple. A good notebook, quiet time in the mornings, and regular reflection are what help me do my best work. In a world full of noise, carving out space to think clearly and connect with your purpose is one of the most powerful resources of all.
