Inspiring Conversations with Dr. Corrin Harris of House of Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Corrin Harris.

Hi Dr. Corrin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi there – I’m Dr. Corrin Harris, a second-generation, female, queer Doctor of Chiropractic and the founder of House of Chiropractic in North Huntington Beach, California – located in Peter’s Landing Marina, in the heart of the Sunset Beach community, just minutes from the Long Beach border.

You could say chiropractic is in my blood. With both of my parents being chiropractors, I received my very first life-changing adjustment the day I was born – and I’ve been adjusted every week of my life since. I’ve been answering phones in chiropractic offices since I could talk, and growing up, I’d tag along on Saturday mornings when my dad took emergency calls. I’ll never forget watching patients get carried into his office, unable to walk due to excruciating pain and 20 minutes later, be able to walk right out. Coming from a small town, I saw firsthand how deeply my parents and their practice impacted our community – and that’s exactly what I’ve set out to create in my own way.

That’s the power of chiropractic to me. It changes lives – and it fuels me to witness that same transformation every day in my own practice as new patients experience that life-changing impact for themselves and their families.

Still, I knew I wanted to do it my way. After years of working in other offices and seeing both the best and the worst of the profession, I felt called to create something different – something modern, intentional, and inclusive. That’s how House of Chiropractic was born.

My approach goes far beyond quick fixes. I take a deep dive into the spine and nervous system through in-depth spinal analysis and digital X-rays to find the why behind the dysfunction. Chiropractic isn’t just about neck or back pain – it’s about optimizing the nervous system to help with everything from autoimmune disorders, allergies, asthma, and migraines to ADHD, energy, alignment, and overall function. When your nervous system works better, you work better. Simple as that.

When you come to House of Chiropractic, you won’t find me in a white coat. You’ll find me in a pink blazer or a trucker hat, creating a space where people feel seen, safe, and empowered to heal. House of Chiropractic is more than a doctor’s office – it’s a movement to redefine what healthcare looks and feels like.

That’s me – I’m Dr. Corrin Harris. Welcome to the new face of Chiropractic. Now – let’s change your life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to get here has been ROCKY AF. I was working as an associate in a chaotic office -seeing 60 patients a day, leading a team of four women, and making next to nothing. The culture was toxic, I was mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted and one day I just said, “F*ck it.” I knew what needed to be done, where the gaps in the health care system were, and I was ready to do it better.

I bootstrapped this entire operation from the ground up – no investors, no loans, no family help or handouts. Just vision, grit, and a belief that healthcare can be better. I wanted to build something that put patients first -where care wasn’t rushed, where people felt seen, heard, and truly cared for.

I didn’t rely on social media ads or gimmicks. Instead, I spent every waking hour in the community – meeting people, educating them, and promoting not just my business but chiropractic itself. Because people deserve to know that health doesn’t come from inside a pill bottle- it comes from alignment, nervous system balance, and connection.

Every ounce of grit, every late night, every hard lesson – it was all for my patients. For the people who deserve better care, deeper healing, and a doctor who actually gives a f*ck.

As you know, we’re big fans of House of Chiropractic. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Over the past year, I’ve built a chiropractic brand that’s become known for one thing: Results. At House of Chiropractic, we don’t just adjust – we correct. Our care focuses on in-depth analysis and corrective chiropractic technique designed to actually change the structure of the spine, allowing the nervous system to function – and heal -the way it was designed to.

Today, we’re recognized throughout the community for our specialized work with reversing severe scoliosis (and helping prevent spinal surgery for SO many patients), spinal arthritis, and degenerative disc disease – and that list keeps growing as more people experience real, lasting change through corrective chiropractic care.

When I opened my doors on day one, we didn’t have a single patient. Fast forward a year later, and we’re now booked out a month in advance for new patient appointments. It’s an incredible “problem” to have. People are getting better. They’re healing. They’re telling their friends and family. The word is spreading – you don’t need drugs or surgery; your body has the ability to heal naturally when given the chance.

I moved to the West Coast with a clear purpose: to bring this corrective approach to a region that desperately needed it. Too many chiropractors skip the most important step – they don’t X-ray the spine. They don’t analyze the structure before moving bones. But how can you truly correct what you can’t see?

I saw that gap – and I felt called to fill it.

One year later, I can say with full confidence: we’re changing the standard of chiropractic chiropractic care in Southern California.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Being a provider in a physically demanding profession, I have to keep my physical, mental, and emotional health in peak performance. Simply put – my patients deserve me at my best.

Over the years, I’ve built an incredible team of mentors, advisors, and coaches who have helped me grow into the doctor I am today. I rely on about half a dozen professionals -everyone from lifestyle coaches and to my CrossFit trainers at DRS athletics, to psychotherapists and chiropractic mentors. They’re the people I can call for everything from getting a second opinion on a complex X-ray, to working through the emotional side of being a healthcare provider.

I always tell my patients: “Ask your doctor who their doctors are.” How can we treat people all day and not take care of ourselves and how can you accept advice from a doctor who is not deeply invested in their own health and wellness?

For me, staying aligned and high-performing isn’t optional – it’s part of my passion + calling in life. My personal health routine includes:

• Weekly maintenance chiropractic adjustments – sometimes twice a week when my nervous system needs more input and feedback.
• Deep tissue massage therapy to keep my body ready for the physical demands of patient care.
• Bi-monthly acupuncture for nervous system balance, hormonal health, and pinpoint healing.
• CrossFit training 2-3x/week and ongoing nutrition coaching to stay sharp and hear new perspectives on wellness.
• Therapy sessions twice a month to keep my emotional health grounded and my mindset strong – because some of the hardest parts of patient care are the emotional ones.
• Stretching, weighted walking, and targeted supplements, and monthly IV hydration therapy to keep my energy + recovery at it’s best.

When it comes to learning and professional growth, I’m always reading the latest Chiropractic BioPhysics research -they’re leading the way in showing how correcting postural imbalances can improve conditions like autoimmune disorders and other nervous system dysfunctions. I also love listening to the She Slays Podcast for inspiration from other female chiropractors, and when I need a dose of philosophy, I’ll pull out one of the classic Green Books. On my nightstand right now: my gratitude journal and It’s Your Choice: Words Spoken to a Young Chiropractor. Next up on my list — Dr. Brad Glowaki’s Training Bootcamp to keep refining how my team and I operate and continuing our pursuit of learning from the best of the best in the industry.

I’ve been fortunate to train with some of the best – I trained for a year out of school from one of the largest chiropractic organizations in the world from some of their “Top 10” offices across the country. I’ve also done extensive training with my parents, who were former Platinum WLP doctors under the incredible Coach C.J. Mertz. All of those experiences shaped not just how I practice, and the systems we have in place- but how I lead my practice as what I call “a purpose driven practice.”

Yeah… the list is long. But how could I possibly ask someone to invest in their health and wellness if I’m not deeply invested in my own? At House of Chiropractic, we don’t just talk about alignment -we live it. We’re building a community that believes in healing from within and redefining what true health looks like. This is Chiropractic- we can’t wait for you to be a part of the movement.
