Inspiring Conversations with Dr. Anastasia Lander of Lander Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Anastasia Lander.

Hi Dr. Lander, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I will be the first to admit that I knew nothing about chiropractic for the first half of my life. It wasn’t till I was dealing with chronic headaches while working on Wall Street that a co-worker recommended I try chiropractic. Not only did the chiropractor help with my headaches, but he changed my life. He introduced me to chiropractic care for children and I was able to witness firsthand how chiropractic care could have such a positive impact on a person’s life. Three years later after losing friends and colleagues in 9/11, I decided to go back to school and become a chiropractor myself.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely has not been a smooth road. My vision of the destination was clear. I always knew that once I became a chiropractor I wanted to share my knowledge and help as many people as I could. However, everything from building a business to most recently Covid and the world shutting down has taught me that patience, resilience, and my faith will guide me when things are not smooth and let’s face it, they usually are never smooth.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a one stop wellness shop. We have three chiropractors and one acupuncturist. My husband, Dr. James, and I started the practice together almost ten years ago and have been building a community. Our passion is to assist others with their health. My personal focus is pregnancy, postpartum, and pediatrics. However, as a whole we work with all aspects of helping people achieve their health goals and maintain an active lifestyle – from chiropractic to acupuncture to intermittent fasting coaching.

We have been told that what sets us apart is that when people walk into our office, they can see that we care. We aim to focus on not only their symptoms but the cause of their complaints. Our long-term goal is get people out of pain and discomfort and into a wellness lifestyle.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I think the connections we make with our patients is the key to our success. Our patients become part of our community and we work together to assist each other.
