Hi Bryna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started IVHONEY out of pure passion and hustle. What began as me hand-sewing pieces in my room turned into a movement built around confidence, individuality, and the art of standing out. I’ve always loved fashion that makes people feel seen, bold, sexy, and free, so I started creating microkinis using unique fabrics I collect while traveling.
At first, my audience was dancers and performers, but over time, IVHONEY became something bigger; it’s for everyone who wants to feel empowered in their own skin. I sold my first few sets on social media, packed every order myself, and built my brand one live stream, one sale, one piece of fabric at a time.
Now IVHONEY has grown into a community. Every kini is handmade with intention, designed to fit beautifully, and created to remind people that confidence is a lifestyle. My journey hasn’t been perfect; I’ve had to learn everything from sewing to marketing, content creation, and running a business, but that’s what makes it so special. IVHONEY represents turning creativity into independence and proving that you can build something from nothing when you truly believe in your vision.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I started IVHONEY with no money, just faith, creativity, and a sewing machine. There were times I had to choose between paying rent or investing in fabric, and I chose my dream… and ended up with a three-day pay-or-quit notice taped to my door.
I’ve had people I considered friends try to copy my designs or resell my pieces for profit. In the beginning, I sold my kinis quietly in the club, paid the house mom, and kept it to myself. I didn’t even tell my family, even though I was proud, because I could already feel the judgment before saying a word. Not everyone understood what a microkini was, or respected it at first, but I kept going because of how alive and confident it made me feel.
Then one day, I looked around and saw every girl in the club wearing my IVHONEY pieces… and no one even knew I was the designer. Eventually, I spoke up, because girls started trying to take credit and profit off my work. One Honey stood up for me, called them out, and said she was going to rep IVHONEY forever. That moment meant everything to me. It reminded me that what I’m doing is real, it’s reaching people, even when they don’t know it’s me.
As confusing as those times were, I was still flattered and grateful. I’ll never forget those nights, drinks with my friends, laughing as we tried to name each new fabric, just vibing and creating. “You do you, and I’ma cut,” became our mood. Even when life got busy and everyone drifted into their own lane, I kept grinding, knowing my team already exists, they’re just forming in divine timing.
What keeps me grounded is knowing this craft is beautiful. It’s affordable luxury, it’s confidence you can wear. IVHONEY was born out of survival and faith, and every setback has reminded me that I’m walking in purpose.
