Inspiring Conversations with Ashanti Cooper of Divine Roots Herbal Blends

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashanti Cooper.

Hi Ashanti, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I created Divine Roots Herbal Blends at a point in my life where I started realizing I wanted more. I was working full-time at a job that was not very fulfilling. I decided that if I was going to work, it would be on my terms doing something that I was passionate about. One thing I have always been passionate about is health/beauty.

I have always experimented and come up with my own products for whatever it was I needed. I figured if I was having success and positive results with the products I was making, why not share it with others. So I started giving them to friends and family members to try. And soon, I was ready to start selling to others. I also began studying herbalism and learning more about different herbs I could incorporate into my products that could bring about the same results naturally. My intention is to offer products with ingredients that are sourced straight from the Earth that are effective and that you don’t have to worry about the negative side effects.

So far Divine Roots Herbal Blends is continuing to grow and I am constantly thinking of ways to make the business better and offer a seamless experience to customers. I am also in the works of adding more natural products to the line which I am very excited about!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Creating your own brand is never an easy process. I would say I struggled the most with patience. I started off with just an idea and thought I would turn that idea into something big overnight. I still have to remind myself that this is a process and to embrace every milestone as I arrive at it.

As you know, we’re big fans of Divine Roots Herbal Blends. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I have been studying herbalism for a while now and using different herbs as the main source of self-care. I also have always been into beauty, so Divine Roots Herbal Blends sort of combines my passion for beauty and health to create products that are all-natural yet effective at helping maintain healthy, glowing skin and hair.

All of my products are handmade using herbs picked specifically for their unique healing properties. I think that is really what sets me apart from others, that my intention is to provide products that aren’t harsh or have lasting negative effects from the ingredients.

What I am most proud of brand-wise is how far my brand has come. Divine Roots Herbal Blends started off as just an idea that I really was not too confident in and with the support of friends, family, and customers it has become something real and I am able to help others through my products

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success is not about how much money or how many materialistic objects one has. It is more about being able to master the art of peace and happiness. I feel as though once you are at peace with yourself and where you are in life, you allow more opportunities and blessings to flow effortlessly. At one point in my life, I was constantly worrying about what was next and never really in the present. Once I was able to be more present and embrace where I was at in my life, I started seeing more doors opening and opportunities presenting.
