Inspiring Conversations with Jessica Suzanne of Branded Bombshell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Suzanne.

Hi Jessica, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
About five years ago, I was living a completely different life. I worked in the automotive, marketing world and breathed the corporate lifestyle; networking events, after-work happy hours, business meetings, marketing strategies, spreadsheets, emails, etc… That was my life! I was really good at it and truly enjoyed it… It’s what I knew, but I also knew that there was something more out there for me… I just wasn’t sure what it was or how to find it. In April 2016, I lost my mom very unexpectedly and my whole life flipped upside down. She was my everything…my best friend, and my biggest fan and I had no idea what I was going to do without her. I went through a very tough time in my life and found myself turning to toxic people and toxic behaviors to numb my pain when really it only made it worse. I hit rock bottom and I knew I had two choices. One, I could spiral, feel sorry for myself, play the victim, and continue going down a path of self-destruction, or I could pull it together, make some changes and lead a life my mom would be proud of.

The latter sounded much better… So I set out a way to make it happen! I kept it super simple and started feeding my body clean, whole, and nutritious foods, working in simple fitness and diving deep into personal development and my spirituality. Each day got better and although I was still hurting (and always will be), it thrilled me to feel this alive and aligned. I found myself totally wrapped up in wellness, health, and happiness…. AND, I finally began seeing the rainbow after the storm and decided to make it my mission to help other women find their rainbows, too. ⁣ I got my certifications as a Health Coach and Personal Trainer and decided to take the leap, follow my heart, and begin my career as a Health and Fitness coach.⁣ After health coaching and growing my own business online for three years, I have now transitioned into a brand strategist, helping other coaches skyrocket their success and transform into online superstars.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve always had a big desire. A big dream. I wanted to build an online business because I wanted to have a bigger impact and be able to reach more people. But when I started on my online business mission, things were not as easy as I planned. I hired the mentors, built the programs, did the marketing, and…. Crickets. For the first year, I consistently felt lost, scattered, and unfocused…wondering if maybe I’m just not cut out for this whole entrepreneurship thing. I looked at other boss babes killing it online, comparing myself to those next to me and those above me, and asked myself, what I was doing wrong, and what the heck they had that I didn’t? I finally said enough is enough and dedicated myself 100% to figure it out, and finally, things began falling into place. I started becoming confident in who I was and began stepping out of my comfort zone and into my power. I gained clarity and direction, and for the first time in my life, I stopped caring about what people thought of me and started believing in myself, that heck yeah, I CAN DO THIS!

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by being happy from the inside out. Until you are fulfilled internally, you’ll continue searching for success externally, and while those things may seem great in the beginning, they quickly lose their fire. But, when you are 100% aligned with your true self, your true wants, and your true desires, you get to stop searching because success magically finds you.
