Inspiring Conversations with Dr. Samone Smith-Brown of Your Symmetrical Self

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Samone Smith-Brown.

Hi Dr. Samone, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Having intuitive and spiritual gifts since the age of five, it has always been within me to be of service to those that are brought to me and that I connect with. Also, being a life-long lover of learning, I pursued my PhD in hopes of being able to utilize those credentials along with my gifts to one day help touch, inform and help heal the world or at least a great portion of it. I started out in education as a teacher of special needs for 18 years, followed by becoming a certified life coach, published author of the self-help and affirmation book entitled, ” The Deconstruction and Reconstruction of YOU”, television and radio host, intuitive reader and medium, international vlogger and motivational speaker. In all avenues, I am spreading hope, dispelling fears and falsehoods and bringing peace, love, light and my intuitive and mediumship gifts.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This road has not been an easy one. With being left alone without any understanding of my intuitive gifts, the hardships of a very tumultuous upbringing, self-esteem issues, holding on to destructive definitions and titles being placed upon me, a hard home life, I once almost took my life. I felt that the world would be better without me. I welcomed the escape. But as I began to get ready to swallow my first bottle, I heard a voice say. “Wait!” and at that moment, my life flashed before my eyes. I cried for 2 hours straight and decided there had to be a purpose for which my pain gave meaning. Life hasn’t been easy after that revelation, but it’s been worth it. I realized I was worth it.

We’ve been impressed with Your Symmetrical Self, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a spiritual advisor and life coach who offers many services that speak to and heal many areas of your mind, body, soul and spirit. When I am not speaking in front of large gatherings, I teach people how to cultivate their own gifts and walk their own paths to greatness through such things as meditation, crystal work, intuitive readings, mediumship and learning how to connect to source in order to manifest greatness in their lives. I also offer counseling services of all kinds, spiritual guidance on many subjects, career coaching and other avenues to help my clients elevate into that which was and is within them to become.

How do you define success?
Success to me is not calculated in monetary value only. It is being a blessing to others, leaving a legacy or impression on others and in this world that is felt deep within. It’s about reaching out your hand and pulling others up with you. To be able to save a life and bring light is what success is to me.
