Inspiring Conversations with Claudia Farrokhnia of Casa Luigi Prosecco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Farrokhnia.

Hi Claudia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a native from Austria, I grew up drinking Prosecco, as the region is situated midway between Venice and the Alps. I always associated drinking Prosecco with happiness, natural beauty, good times and meaningful social gatherings with family and friends. I dreamt of bringing those good vibes to life in the United States in a convenient, ready-to-drink can. Americans understand the convenience of a canned beverage. As a businesswomen working in film and PR events, my life brought me to Hollywood, California. That Hollywood move leads me back to my real passion, “That Beautiful Life” of my Prosecco days.

I co-founded Casa Luigi in 2017 and my dream came true when Casa luigi was the first all natural Prosecco in cans brought to the USA. I am an entertainer. I love entertaining in small, intimate groups and having beauty as the star of the occasion. I’ve designed the Casa Luigi cans to be an important element of the vibe of any event. The outside of the can is designed as beautifully and as intricately as the premium Prosecco inside the can. Florals and butterflies gracedthe cans and were taken from a teacup I’ve always cherished that my grandmother gave me. Even the Casa Luigi in-store displays have a very distinct, floral enchantment to them. Everything I design, I am re-creating that original nostalgia of happiness, beauty and love that my original Prosecco infused days represent to me. I am hoping our fans will experience the same thing when they bring home a Casa Luigi carton. Oh, and by the way, I named it after our little prince, our dog Luigi 😊

The Casa Luigi mission is to inspire, motivate and elevate today’s sparkling consumers, offering them a new way of fine wine drinking wrapped in beauty. love and happiness. “I want every refrigerator in America to have us on their shelf.” (I want to see Casa Luigi in every fridge in every home in America ready to drink)?

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No. The alcohol laws in each state are intense. I’ve been very dedicated to the natural flavor selection. In the Secco Imperial (purple can) I wanted to use violet flavoring after the historic stories of the beauty, empress Sisi of Austria in the mid-late 1800dreds, however violets are not sustainable. I spent months fine-tuning the use of Lotus blossom extract which is a very similar flavor and am ecstatic with the results.

This took painstakingly intense tastings to get the flavors right using Elderflowers, Mint and Lotus Blossoms. Did you know that there are 600 varieties of mint? Our convenient cans eliminate wastefulness and unnecessary handling-something very important in today’s environment.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Passion, Persistence, Love. I love turning people onto “my beer for the girls”. I love what I have created and I like to drink it! I live Casa Luigi. Our home not too far from the Ocean here in California reflects the bohemian, colorful and down to earth Casa Luigi lifestyle and vibe. What we do here is authentic and real. Casa Luigi is your “everyday luxury”, affordable and yes so super yummy and beautiful inside and out!
