Hidden Gems: Meet Zahir Khan of TriangleClick

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zahir Khan.

Hi Zahir, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born in a small village in Rajasthan, India, the youngest of four siblings. My father has served his entire life in the Indian Army, and my mother, married at just 16, raised us through unimaginable hardships, where close family would often torture them and put them through unimaginable struggle. Those early years taught me resilience and conscience. On Eid, while others enjoyed feasts, our family often only had bread and curry. We weren’t well off, we had to struggle for the small things, and were often taken advantage of by our own family, yet my parents always reminded us that education and values were non-negotiable.
In school, I was never a bright student. I never won medals. In college, I failed in seven subjects in my first year and dropped out. I applied for the Air Force and other government jobs but faced rejection everywhere. For a while, I even dreamed of becoming a singer, but that too slipped away. At one point, I truly believed I would never achieve anything.
But failure taught me persistence. I began learning website development on an old computer at my brother’s medical store, but coding wasn’t my strength. I then discovered digital marketing through a online digital marketing influencer video. My mother borrowed money so I could take a professional course, and I went from one internship to another, cycling 16 km a day for unpaid work, and refusing projects where I felt people were being misled. Integrity mattered more to me than quick income.
Eventually, I tried starting my own car-washing business with money withdrawn from my provident fund. I worked weekdays at my job and weekends on the startup. Within 15 days, it failed, and I lost my job too. That was a crushing moment.
Later, I joined an agency making cold calls to U.S. healthcare businesses. It was brutal, most calls went unanswered or cut off instantly. My English wasn’t fluent, my accent wasn’t American, and Indian scams had made trust harder to earn. I couldn’t even use my boss’s name to gain credibility, and I refused to steal anyone’s clients because my conscience wouldn’t allow it.
What kept me going were stories of resilience. One was a Shark Tank India entrepreneur who said she sent emails 238 days in a row before selling her first shoe, proving that consistency beats rejection. Another was a video about Steve Jobs at age 12, when he cold-called Bill Hewlett asking for spare parts. Hewlett not only gave him the parts but also a summer job at HP. That story taught me that action, courage, and relationships open doors that talent alone cannot.
So, I prepared a simple script for my calls:
“Hi, I’m Zahir, a 23-year-old entrepreneur. I’ve helped psychotherapists grow their businesses. If you give me a chance, I can do the same for you. I don’t need money, all I need is a chance to grow your business.”
Finally, one therapist from Los Angeles, Dr. Harel, gave me that chance. He later told me he heard both nervousness and enthusiasm in my voice, and decided to trust me. I built his website, supported his growth, and within three months, he gave me my first video testimonial. He became, in many ways, my own “Bill Hewlett”, the first believer who opened the door.
From there, TriangleClick was born. More clients followed through referrals, and I stayed focused on delivering quality work. In just two years, we’ve scaled practices across the U.S., created over 10 jobs, and today, some of the top psychotherapists in America trust and recommend us.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is this: success doesn’t depend on perfect English, an elite degree, or the right accent. It comes from courage, consistency, and the willingness to keep showing up, no matter how many times life says no.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In fact, most of my journey has been defined by struggle. Growing up, I wasn’t the brightest student, I failed in college, dropped out, and at one point truly felt like I would never become anything. Even when I started working, I took internships that paid nothing at all, sometimes cycling 16 km a day just to learn. I even tried starting my own small home car-washing business with the little money I had saved, but within two weeks it collapsed and I lost my job at the same time.
When I moved into digital marketing, the challenges became very real. I had to cold call businesses in the United States, and this was extremely tough. My English was not fluent, my accent was far from American, and being an Indian trying to sell services to the U.S. came with the stigma of scams, people would hang up on me the moment they heard “marketing.” Building trust across that distance was one of the hardest parts of my career.
On top of that, I had to make choices about integrity. Many people around me suggested I take shortcuts, like using my boss’s name to impress prospects or even approaching existing clients from other companies. But my conscience didn’t allow me to do that. I didn’t want success built on someone else’s hard work. I wanted to build something of my own, even if it took longer.
There were days I felt completely defeated. But I reminded myself of the stories that inspired me, like the girl on Shark Tank India who sent cold emails each day for 238 days before selling her first shoe, or the story of a 12-year-old Steve Jobs calling Bill Hewlett. Those stories kept me consistent even when things weren’t working.
So no, it hasn’t been smooth at all. But looking back, every rejection, every “no,” and every failure built the resilience I needed. Those struggles are the reason I value every client and every relationship today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
TriangleClick was founded with a simple but powerful idea: marketing shouldn’t feel like a gamble, and it shouldn’t drain small businesses with empty promises. Our journey began in a garage in Jaipur, India, not in Silicon Valley, with nothing more than a laptop, coffee, and one big frustration: business owners, especially therapists, were paying agencies large retainers but getting little in return. Generic content, pretty posts without strategy, and zero connection to the actual needs of their clients.
We decided to change that. TriangleClick isn’t a traditional agency. We specialize in helping psychotherapists and mental health professionals grow their private practices through strategies that blend digital expertise with human empathy. We don’t just run ads or post content, we align every solution with the emotional pain points of a therapist’s potential clients. Because in therapy, success isn’t about likes or impressions; it’s about trust, connection, and the courage to take that first step toward healing.
What sets us apart is our emotional quotient. We’re a small, lean team, and that’s intentional. It allows us to bring a handmade touch to the age of AI-driven marketing. There’s no automation that blasts out the same copy for everyone. Every campaign is custom-built, researched deeply, and designed to speak directly to the people who are searching for help. We combine hard data with a human voice.
Our “Pay As You Grow” model is another unique aspect. We don’t believe in locking therapists into expensive retainers before results show. We grow only when our clients grow, and that accountability has earned us trust in a field where skepticism toward marketing is high.
What we’re most proud of is the impact. In just two years, we’ve helped some of the top psychotherapists in the U.S. expand their practices, reach more people in need, and even create over ten jobs along the way. TriangleClick isn’t about vanity metrics, it’s about building momentum and lasting growth for businesses that truly change lives.
If there’s one thing readers should know about our brand, it’s this: we are proof that small, focused, and emotionally intelligent marketing can outperform the biggest agencies. We’re not here to sell, we’re here to partner with professionals who heal people, and give their work the visibility it deserves.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
There have been many people who have shaped my journey, but if I had to name one person who deserves the biggest credit, it would be Dr. Harel Papikian from Los Angeles. Before him, I had tried countless times to reach out in the U.S. market, but I kept facing rejection. My English wasn’t fluent, my accent wasn’t American, and being an Indian marketer meant I was often met with skepticism. No one wanted to take a chance on me.
But Dr. Harel did. He listened past the nervousness in my voice and chose to believe in the intention behind my words. He was the very first client who trusted me, and that single act of faith changed everything. I built his website, worked on his marketing, and within a short time he started seeing results. But what makes him extraordinary is that he didn’t stop at being just a client. He became an advocate. He gave me my first video testimonial (https://shorturl.at/ChOSk), recommended me personally to his colleagues, and kept promoting my services as if they were his own.
Even today, he continues to push me, encourage me, and genuinely wants to see TriangleClick succeed. Because of him, people across the U.S. know me and trust me. His belief gave me the credibility I could never have created alone.
I often say that without Dr. Harel, there would be no TriangleClick. He wasn’t just a client, he became a mentor, a cheerleader, and the foundation on which this business was built. For that, I will always owe him the biggest gratitude.
