Today we’d like to introduce you to Yolanda Morales.
Yolanda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a 31-year-old Latina, born and raised in Mid-City, Los Angeles.
Growing up as a young woman in Mid-City LA with minimal guidance came with a lot of emotional ups and downs. My upbringing made it challenging for me to feel secure and understood. During my adolescent years, I struggled with managing my anger, and eventually, it led to me being placed on probation.
For a long time, I felt misunderstood, unsupported, and stuck in cycles I didn’t know how to break. I can still remember meeting with my probation officer at the LA County Probation Office on Crenshaw and Exposition. I would sit there, observe my environment, and think to myself: I have to create a change.
Even in my darkest moments, I always carried a deep sense that I was meant for more.
Everything changed when I enrolled at West Los Angeles Community College. I discovered psychology and became deeply passionate about understanding human behavior and trauma — especially my own.
I went on to earn my Master of Science in Therapy, became a licensed mental health therapist, and made it my mission to help others — especially young women and at-risk youth — break through their own cycles and step into their power.
Now, as a new mom, confidence coach, creator, and entrepreneur, I’ve created The Hot Mom Glow-Up Challenge eBook to help women reclaim their identity, rebuild their confidence, and glow from the inside out.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of my biggest challenges was unlearning the survival patterns I picked up from growing up in an unstable environment. I struggled with regulating my anger and often found comfort in unhealthy relationships that mirrored what I witnessed around me.
It wasn’t until I committed to deep inner work — therapy, reflection, boundary-setting, and rebuilding my self-worth — that I began to break those cycles. That healing journey allowed me to attract and build a healthy, loving marriage, something I never thought I’d experience.
I also faced imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and the pressure of breaking generational cycles as a first-generation Latina. Becoming a therapist meant doing the inner work while still healing myself — learning how to hold space for others while figuring out how to heal my from my own experiences.
Motherhood brought an entirely new set of challenges: rediscovering who I was in this new role, navigating postpartum emotions, and rebuilding my confidence after birth. But every obstacle became part of my transformation. It’s what led me to create tools and resources for other women — to show them that they don’t have to be perfect to be powerful. Healing is messy. Growth takes time. But both are possible — and so worth it.
Becoming a mom also gave me a renewed sense of purpose. I launched the Hot Mom Glow-Up Challenge and created an eBook to help other mothers rediscover themselves and embrace their confidence, beauty, and power — even after having kids.
Stepping into entrepreneurship came with its own set of challenges. There were many moments I felt lost, unsure, and questioned whether I was on the right path, especially in spaces that weren’t always welcoming. But I kept showing up — for myself, my community, and my purpose.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My work is rooted in healing, empowerment, and transformation — not just surface-level confidence, but deep, lasting inner growth. I began my career as a therapist working in low-income communities, where I supported foster youth, at-risk teens, and women rebuilding their lives after domestic violence. That work shaped my passion for serving those who often feel unseen and unheard. It also taught me that healing is never one-size-fits-all — it requires heart, empathy, and real-life tools.
As I’ve grown, so has my mission. I now blend mental health, coaching, and content creation to help women reconnect with their worth and step fully into their glow. I’m also partnered with Monat, a vegan beauty and wellness brand, and I use platforms like Instagram and TikTok to share intentional hair, makeup, and self-care tips — because when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.
I also host in-person wellness events for women to build sisterhood, practice self-care, and create safe spaces for growth, connection, and healing in real life.
Through my Hot Mom Glow-Up Challenge eBook, I’ve created a step-by-step guide to help mothers and women rebuild confidence, heal from the inside out, and embrace their identity with power and style. Whether it’s in therapy, at an event, or through digital content, my goal is always the same: to help women remember who they are and become the most confident version of themselves.
There are several ways to work with me! I offer 1:1 confidence coaching for women who are ready to heal, grow, and step into their next level. I also collaborate with brands and businesses that align with my mission of empowerment, wellness, and beauty — especially those focused on serving women, moms, and first-generation communities.
You can support my work by downloading my Hot Mom Glow-Up Challenge eBook, sharing my content, or simply spreading the message that healing and self-love are possible at any stage of life. I’m also available for speaking engagements, wellness events, and content partnerships.
I’m active on Instagram and TikTok at @yolandamoralesofficial, where I share confidence tips, motherhood motivation, beauty content, and behind-the-scenes of the healing glow-up journey.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Resilience, without a doubt. I’ve faced adversity at every stage of life — from growing up in an unstable environment and being on probation as a teen, to navigating motherhood, healing from trauma, and stepping into entrepreneurship. But no matter what challenges I’ve faced, I’ve always chosen to rise. To me, resilience isn’t just about surviving — it’s about growing through what you go through and continuing to show up, even on the hard days.
I’ve also learned that success isn’t about knowing everything or never failing — it’s about showing up anyway, even when you’re scared or unsure. I’ve failed, I’ve felt lost, and I’ve questioned myself more times than I can count. But I never gave up. I just kept putting one foot in front of the other, planting seeds even when I couldn’t yet see the growth.
And as Nipsey Hussle said: “Instead of trying to build a brick wall, lay a brick every day. Eventually, you’ll look up and you’ll have a brick wall.” That’s how I’ve built my success — one intentional, imperfect step at a time.
Authenticity has also been key. I built my brand by being real about my journey — the setbacks, the healing, and the glow-up. When you lead with your truth, you create space for others to do the same.
