Today we’d like to introduce you to Robby Fields
Hi Robby, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been someone who values connections and integrity, which has guided me throughout my career as a realtor. My journey started at the University of Minnesota, where I earned a degree in Communication Studies. There, I learned how important it is to really listen to people and understand their needs—skills that have been crucial in my real estate career.
Since then, I’ve been navigating the ever-evolving real estate market, helping clients find their dream homes or secure smart investments. It’s been an exciting ride, and I love the challenge of turning what can often be a stressful process into something smooth and successful for my clients. One thing that sets me apart is my ability to build genuine relationships. I want people to feel like they’re not just working with a realtor but with someone who truly cares about their goals.
Outside of work, I try to keep life balanced. I’m always up for an adventure, whether it’s traveling the world (my favorite place being Santorini) or hiking around LA—Nichols Canyon is a favorite. Real estate is my passion, but my approachability and candid nature mean that, at the end of the day, people feel like they’re working with an old friend when they work with me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road at the beginning! I started my real estate career when I was just 22, only a year after moving to LA by myself. I didn’t have any connections, so it was really tough at first. I knew I had to hit the ground running and network as much as possible to get my name out there and start building my business.
There were definitely moments where it felt overwhelming—trying to establish myself in such a competitive market was no easy task. I spent a lot of time attending events, meeting new people, and putting in long hours just to make sure I could get my foot in the door. But all that effort paid off in the long run. It was through this grind that I built a strong foundation, and now I can look back and appreciate how far I’ve come. Those early struggles shaped who I am today and gave me the resilience I needed to succeed.
As you know, we’re big fans of glasses + fields group. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At glasses + fields group, we truly see real estate differently. Our mission revolves around building long-lasting relationships with our clients. We believe that real estate isn’t just about transactions—it’s about people. Whether you’re buying or selling, we put your needs first, ensuring you’re protected and informed every step of the way. We’re not satisfied until our clients are, and we’re committed to going above and beyond to make sure they get exactly what they want.
One of the things that really sets us apart is that my partner and I are the Tenants in Common (TIC) pioneers of LA. We’ve built a reputation for helping developers turn their properties into TICs, and we specialize in guiding buyers through the unique aspects of these transactions. Buying as a tenant in common gives you access to updated, stylish homes that are typically 15-20% cheaper than similar condos! The catch? You’ll need a fractional loan, which is only offered by four lenders, but we’re here to walk you through that process. This unique approach allows you to invest in a curated, modern property alongside like-minded individuals, making TICs an exciting opportunity for homebuyers.
TICs can be more complex than traditional deals, but our expertise ensures that you understand every step, making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. We love being part of this innovative space and helping our clients tap into the benefits of owning these distinctive properties.
We also leverage cutting-edge technology to give our clients a competitive edge, whether it’s finding off-market properties or being the first to see new listings. We’ve built strong, trustworthy partnerships with vendors, lenders, and escrow officers to provide a seamless, white-glove experience for every transaction.
I’m most proud of the fact that our brand stands for trust, relationships, and top-tier service. We understand how important buying or selling a home is—it’s one of the biggest financial milestones for most people—and we’re here to make it not only successful but enjoyable. At the end of the day, our goal is to make sure you feel taken care of and supported throughout the entire process. That’s why we do what we do.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Lauren Glasses deserves a huge amount of credit for the success of our business. Not only is she my trusted business partner, but she’s also one of my best friends, which makes working together so much fun. We’ve cultivated an incredible team, and I think a lot of that comes from the balance we bring to the table. Lauren’s background in the arts and technology gives her a unique perspective on real estate, and she’s been a pioneer in introducing new forms of property ownership like TICs and tokenized ownership.
Her ability to connect with clients—whether through her engaging house tours, social media content, or her educational platform for first-time buyers—brings so much value to what we do. She’s a creative force and a visionary, always pushing us to stay ahead of the curve in the industry. It’s amazing to have a business partner who I not only trust completely but also enjoy spending time with outside of work. We support and challenge each other, and that dynamic has been essential to the growth and success of glasses + fields group.
