Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhaiah Spooner-knight
Hi Rhaiah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m originally from New Zealand and I came to America when I was 18 on a full ride college basketball scholarship. I went to Utah Valley University for 3 years, then decided to transfer to another university in New Jersey called Monmouth University for my last 2 years. After I graduated with a bachelor’s of Fine Arts, I moved to Orange County with my bf and his team mates. We were broke, no family, no jobs and I was the happiest and looking forward to what the future was going to hold!
I found a job on craigslist being an assistant to an Artist in San Clemente. She was amazing! And I credit a lot of getting on my feet to her and her husband, not only was I her assistant but she gave me a job as a graphic designer for one of their other businesses. Time went by and we were able to rent ourselves a room in Irvine, we were both working and I picked up a second part time job at Nike. A year or so later, the pandemic hit, I couldn’t work, and I took it as a sign to start venturing into financial literacy/ investing and trading- something I had always wanted to get into but never knew where to start or how to begin. I invested in education and started mentoring people from New Zealand, Australia and America in trading. It’s been over 4 years now and I have helped thousands of people learn this skillset, helping them make money and essentially change their lives!! I myself was able to leave my 2 jobs to solely focus on trading and helping people. A few years ago I did decide to go back to working at Nike as extra income – but by choice! Its been an amazing journey to be on myself but to also provide that opportunity for others!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely hasn’t been smooth! Leaving college and having to start from literally square one. No help, no family, really helped me tuff and grind things out! I’m resourceful, and most importantly, it made me grateful for every single thing in my life! Because I know what it’s like to have nothing, to have to work for everything. The hard times is the sole reason I am where I am- and have been able to achieve what I have today. And for that I’m grateful!
We’ve been impressed with Workhardliveeasy trading group, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a community of like minded individuals who help mentor and guide people in foreign exchange trading. We are apart of an online educational platform that provides resources such as educators, videos and software to help teach this skillset. We have helped thousands of people all over the world learn this skillset over the past nearly 5 years!
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Absolutely! People either took full advantage of the pandemic and found new hobbies, ventures, different forms of income, or people used it as a reason why they couldn’t do any of these things!
