Hidden Gems: Meet M&MJ LateSHOW

Today we’d like to introduce you to M&MJ LateSHOW

We are Oscar Genova (born in Italy, Sicily 1990) and Timieka White AKA Tampico Joness (born in Los Angeles CA 1995). We met three years ago for our first date and we have been a couple ever since. We discussed from the beginning of our relationship what we wanted to achieve in life, Tampico wanted to get to a position of influence so that she could help women all over the world, Oscar wanted to open e production company and help talented artists to have a platform to express themselves. When we first moved in together Oscar proposed the idea to do a late-night show for upcoming artists in their garage. Tampico was perfect for it, she is an amazing singer, she can dance, she can act and she is very versatile. This show is very challenging and she was never unprepared.

Our connection, understanding of each other, chemistry made this project into something special. We have been working consistently on the M&MJ LateSHOW since the idea came to mind, we never doubted the fact that it wasn’t a good idea because it was a project created with love and passion. Of course, the challenges were many the budget was very low and we had to build an all set and buy the equipment, etc., but we did it. We are now trying to expand. The M&MJ LateSHOW is “just a space in which art happens” and we are working really hard so that many talented people who deserve a chance in the business actually could showcase their talents.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The main struggle would be building the set and getting the equipment having a low budget. To get the set ready took us about a year and a half, we could only do small investments at the time, sometimes none so we had to stop. The set was ready on August 2020 (even though we still want to do a lot more) and we have been having a lot of requests to be on the show. We are now working on getting monetized so that we could do this full time and help more artists.

As you know, we’re big fans of M&MJSTUDIO. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a new production company with the only goal of creating quality and meaningful content. Our first project is “The M&MJ LateSHOW”, but we want to start producing other content real soon, short movies, music videos, commercial etc.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Well, we are still a new production so we have not reached our goal and we are not even close, but all we can say for life experience in general is that passion and hard work will get you anywhere you want to be.
