Today we’d like to introduce you to Melanie Espeland. She and her team share their story with us below:
Melanie Espeland is an Executive Coach, Entrepreneur, Author, and Voice Actor. She celebrates the importance of your literal and figurative voice and executive presence in the business world.
Melanie applied the knowledge she had acquired from her many years of experience in the business world, including management consulting firm McKinsey and Fortune 500’s, to establish her own consulting firm, Espeland Enterprises.
In addition to her business pursuits, Melanie is a successful voice actor, represented by CESD Talent Agency. In her capacity as both a business consultant and voice actor, Melanie concluded that there was a very specific niche that she could serve: business professionals looking to improve their leadership and communication skills.
Melanie now coaches senior clients from top companies such as Google, IBM, and Morgan Stanley across comprehensive executive coaching, voice, communication, and executive presence.
She has been featured in publications such as Business Insider, Yahoo Finance, California Herald, and NY Weekly; and Melanie has spoken at prestigious institutions such as Columbia Business School and Umbrex. Melanie is available for one-on-one coaching, custom corporate team training, and speaking engagements.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business on your own is certainly a struggle when you are trying to do it all – from bookkeeping to coaching to digital marketing. I’ve learned an incredible amount in these early years of building my business across all of these disciplines.
The biggest challenge now is scalability – building the business to a point where I can both a) focus on coaching and the overall vision of the company and b) hiring and training coaches in my philosophy, The Espeland Method™.
