Hidden Gems: Meet Leslie Ellis of Aligned Soul

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Ellis

Hi Leslie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Before I can dive into how I got here today, let me take you back in time. In early 2021, I was introduced to a meditation group that changed my life. Prior to that group, I had never meditated a day in my life and did not know the power of meditation. I was very depressed at the time, looking back at everything now, I truly feel like I was divinely guided to that meditation group. It played a big role in where I am today. I learned so much from them. I learned to face my emotions and enjoy moments of stillness. I learned that there was nothing wrong with me and I was not alone on my journey. The more I went inward, the more I realized how powerful we truly are. I didn’t have everything figured out, but I knew I was on the right path. One day, I was meditating and I was shown myself helping others, but I didn’t know exactly how I was going to do that. By then, I had developed a very strong intuition. I asked to be guided to whatever my soul’s mission was, and the following week I discovered Sound healing. Sound healing changed my life. I had no idea of the power of these healing instruments. From there, I was guided to my mentor who has become a great friend of mine now. She has a crystal/healing shop in Downey where I discovered the power of Reiki. I went on to take all 3 levels of Reiki with Judith, and it completely transformed me. After taking Reiki Level 1 with her, I knew what my soul’s mission was here on earth. I quit a job of 10+ years that I had dedicated sweat and tears for, and went all in on Aligned Soul in September of 2022. I had zero clients at the time and a ton of anxiety and fear (lol), but felt a big urge to rent the place I am at now in Bellflower. Ultimately, taking a chance on myself and surrendering to the process of life is what has led me here today. It hasn’t been easy, but I know that I am meant to be of service to others. I know that is where my soul feels the most alive. Aligned Soul truly was created from my heart to help others find their light in the midst of darkness. To empower others on their healing journey by holding a safe space for them to go inward, heal, and tune into the energy of love. To help bring them into full alignment with their higher selves and ultimately own their authenticity and show up unapologetically.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all, but I am grateful to have my husband in my corner. In moments of confusion about my life and my business, he has always been the one person who has believed in me and in Aligned Soul, and that is a huge blessing for me.

I think a lot of small business owners can agree that some struggles come from the slower days, and as a business owner, I’ve definitely had those days. The days where you get in your head and basically self-sabotage everything you’ve worked for. I don’t want to sound cliché, but I truly believe that when you’re truly living in alignment and love what you do, you will always find a way. I call this God working in our favor, but trust me, it took me a while to get to this state of mind. What I have realized for myself is that when I’m in a constant state of trying to control the outcome or micromanage everything, almost nothing goes as planned. Lately, I’ve truly just been going inward and working on myself and my limitations to make sure my vibrational state is in alignment with what I want. I’ve been working on surrendering more to God and the universe and trusting in a higher power. Allowing myself to be in a state of flow versus control. With that being said, it has not been easy, but I’ve always shown up for myself, for what I believe in, and I always will.

I specialize in Reiki, sound healing, meditation, and breathwork. I hold a safe and loving space for individuals and the community in any stage of life they are in, empowering them towards a life of fulfillment and healing. My offerings range from 1:1 Reiki, sound, or a combination of both healing sessions. Group Reiki sound baths, private and community events, healing circles, and so much more. I also offer Reiki trainings and am committed to helping others tap into their inner healer, guiding them towards a deeper connection with themselves and the universal energy that surrounds us.
