Hidden Gems: Meet Leanna Fong of Leanna Lin’s Wonderland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leanna Fong.

Hi Leanna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello! I started my career in the fashion industry in the early 90s. In the early 2000’s I started creating my own jewelry line, Leanna Lin. During those times, I also took my line to shows and met a lot of talented artists and designers and kept their business cards over the years. I had been talking about opening my own shop and after a lot of research, Leanna Lin’s Wonderland was born in 2010 ~ an art gallery and gift shop! … and you bet I emailed those artists too!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t think that running any business ever is smooth. There’s always ups & downs. Being able to be flexible and make quick changes as needed is always rough on the mind and body. Being sure you’re updated with tech/social media trends and finances are also a constant struggle. But we do what we do because we love a good challenge!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Leanna Lin’s Wonderland?
Leanna Lin’s Wonderland is an art gallery and gift shop for the young at heart! We are located in Eagle Rock, Northeast Los Angeles (between Glendale & Pasadena) and specialize in local artists + brands. Our well-curated selection brings joy to people of all ages!

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
It’s hard for me to listen to things while working, so music is my go-to 🙂 especially KCRW. They have great programming too (Good Food, Press Play, Greater LA, etc.)
