Today we’d like to introduce you to Lana Knadian.
Hi Lana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I always had an interesting relationship with food. Growing up in Russia, which was and still is heavy on meats and dairy, I was considered to be an extremely finicky eater. I never liked or could stand dairy and wasn’t heavy on the meats, which leaves very little to be able to consume, at least at that time in Soviet Union. Later in life, in my early thirties, I discovered veganism and was immediately drawn to it, although by that time I actually was working as a sushi chef, believe it or not.
I slowly began to experiment with food and quickly found raw vegan cuisine to be my absolute favorite. By then, I no longer could work with dead animals and thus started a career in Real Estate, which I love and still currently peruse.
However, being a sweet tooth that I am, I made a lot of raw, plant-based desserts at home and shared with family, friends, coworkers and such. They were a great hit with everyone, carnivores and vegans alike! And just like that, “Choosing Vegan” was born.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I guess I’m lucky because this is mostly for my creative outlet and definitely is one of my passions while I’m still pursuing Real Estate Career. So it’s never has been ‘do or die’ situation. I feel very happy and fulfilled making the desserts and constantly learning more, elevating my skills and knowledge.

Well, who amongst us hasn’t wanted to fully indulge in the delights of a tasty treat without the guilt of useless calories, unwanted sugar spikes, bad preservatives and ingredients that fall far short of anything you would want to put in your body. We all know that anything store-bought is compromised with additives and chemicals to keep shelf life as long as possible, and anything pegged as ‘healthy’ tastes like a poor substitute for the indulgence you were really looking for. Well, my desserts are wholesome and natural, made out of 100% Plant-Based Ingredients, yet they’re the most deliciously sweet, creamy and delightful delicacies your tastebuds will ever encounter.
All my creations are free from Dairy, Eggs, Soy, Gluten, Refined/Cane Sugar, Preservatives, Food Additives, Artificial Flavors and Synthetic Colors. Paleo and Keto friendly, always GMO-Free and Organic whenever possible.
I believe that we don’t have to sacrifice taste for nutrition. After all, don’t we want to “have our cake and eat it too!?” Pun intended.
And the best part of all, you don’t have to be vegan to indulge in my healthy, delicious and 100% Guilt-Free dessert.
