Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan And Nereida Castro-lopez
Juan and Nereida, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Our story begins with a love for design and our environment. These passions led us to pursue education and careers in Landscape Architecture and Interior Architecture. Through our careers we have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects of all scales from private residential to public parks and restoration.
Today we seek to provide design solutions that enrich the lives of those around us. Our practice is our opportunity to be creative, inspire and share our mission of sustainability that focuses on bringing California’s history and landscapes to light.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In our line of work, projects always come with unique challenges. Some are expected and some unexpected, However it’s always important to keep positive and find the silver lining in the obstacles. We believe that you can always learn from those curveballs life throws at you.
Currently our primary challenge is being able to bring more awareness to the importance of sustaining local ecology in the urban landscape through native plantings and environmentally conscious design decisions.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our studio specializes in designing sustainable, eco-conscious exterior and interior spaces that blend functionality, aesthetics, and environmental stewardship. Our collaborative design process ensures that each project reflects our clients’ unique visions while embracing sustainable materials and practices.
We are proud to partner with clients who value the harmony between the built and natural environment.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
We really enjoy reading all kinds of books especially those found at your local library! Don’t underestimate the hidden gems you can find there. Also, your local showrooms are always a great source of information and inspiration of real available products that you can see, touch and sniff.
